My Bloody Right
January 13, 2008
When I started kicking around the idea to launch a politically incorrect store on Conservablogs, I had no idea I would do it in this manner.
Let me back up a bit…
Last year, Ken Marrero and I had a few discussions about getting a store up and running that would allow ConservaBloggers to sell t-shirts, hat, stickers, etc. Ken even built a list of some great ideas for t-shirt slogans, many of which I still hope to use.
But thanks to the hustle and bustle of planning the Conservative Leadership Conference, the online shop got pushed to the back burner.
Now that we’re in the middle of January, and I need to come up with new ways to help pay for the server, the store is back at the top of the priority list. My original plan was to prepare for a March launch, giving me plenty of time to take something live. But a certain Canadian changed that and did so very quickly.
Meet Ezra Levant… my newest hero.
Some background:
On February 14, 2006 the Western Standard drew the attention of the Muslim community by reprinting the controversial editorial cartoons depicting Muhammad, the founder of Islam.
Levant republished the Muhammed cartoons on his website in January 2008 on the same day he appeared before a hearing of the Alberta Human Rights and Citizenship Commission investigating a complaint by Syed Soharwardy of the Islamic Supreme Council of Canada about Levant’s earlier publication of the cartoon. Additionally, Sowharwardy has filed a complaint with Calgary police about Levant saying he fears for his safety because of “lies” he says Levant has been spreading about him claiming Levant is inciting hatred. Police say they are investigating Levant as a result of the complaint.
Saturday evening I came across a post over at HotAir that contained links to video footage of the Human Rights interrogation of Ezra Levant.
If you have time, I highly recommend you watch them all. If not, this one will do.
It is absolutely awe inspiring to see a free man take on the government like this. And something I fear, unfortunately, that many more of us will have to do in the near future.
Among the money quotes throughout the videos Ezra has posted, these are some of the best.
In response to a possible government order to apologize for “insulting Islam”
I’ll rot in hell before I use my mouth to say those fascist words at you, with you as his instrument to compel me to do so
Tell us how you really feel!
I simply won’t comply
And the one that inspired the new site, along with the post you’re reading…
“I published the Muhammad cartoons because it’s my bloody right to do so!”
Amen and amen.
So, without further ado, I give you My Bloody Right. The new site is dedicated to providing politically incorrect goodies, as well as providing a place for others to promote their own stores and products.
As you can see… we still have a long way to go, but it’s a start.

Got something to say?

Great - I mean GREAT - interview. Every single one of us has wanted to say those exact same things to every fascist-in-training who would tell us what we can say, think, write, or publish.
