Bill Russell throwing big punches at John Murtha

Thanks to recent news that Conservative Republican challenger Bill Russell is gaining serious ground in his race against liberal Democrat John Murtha, activists across the district are beginning to throw support in the right direction.
Rep. John Murtha has represented Pennsylvania’s 12th District since 1974, but a relative newcomer to the political scene is threatening to unseat him.
On Saturday, Murtha took aim at his GOP challenger at a rally, and today his opponent Bill Russell returned fire.
Surrounded by veterans and the mother of the first Navy Seal killed in Iraq, Republican Congressional candidate Bill Russell took aim at Murtha.
Russell held a rally in New Stanton this afternoon. But on the airways, Murtha launched a series of attack ads against an opponent he admitted that he did not take seriously until recently.
Murtha continued the attack over the weekend echoing at least one of political ads at a rally in Latrobe.
“Privatization of social security, my opponent wants to privatize social security. Imagine where you wanted to be if you wanted to retire,” said Murtha.
“He is running scared,” Russell said of his opponent today. “He’s engaged in negative attacks that aren’t based on principal or policy.”
Addressing reporters after his rally, Russell said he’s not stunned by the recent Murtha ads, but he feels the momentum is on his side. And while Murtha is not to be underestimated, Russell says neither is he.
I was in Murtha’s district last Friday and I can testify from first hand experience that Murtha is losing grip and fast. This is a seat that Democrats were not concerned about, so far left liberal groups like MoveOn and others are now cramming big money into the district to try and salvage the campaign.
Will Bill Russell be able to unseat John Murtha? We’ll know in less than 48 hours.

I read that some are calling Murtah a “little fat bastard”. No so. More like a “fat rat bastard”. Veterans overwhelmingly support Russell and are hoping Murtah loses tomorrow.
Not just Veterans, Johnny. I live in Illinois and I proudly donated to the Bill Russell campaign. Which was, by the way, the ONLY political campaign I’ve given money to this year.
Is it not funny that Murtha called Russell a “carpet bagger” and then got an endorsement from Clinton who moved from Arkansas to New York. Hypocritical I think.
Murtha has long over stayed his welcome. he is a bafoon and a disgrace to our country. I also donated to bill russell and I live in Ut. kick his fat ___ Russell!
I live in Florida and was proud to donate to Russell’s campaign to defeat Murtha. Murtha ia a traitor.
Well Murtha here is a traitor and doesn’t have the values needed to defeat Russell.I expect Russell to win handsomely and For Murha he is a hypocrite of the highest order.
