    Eric,

Can I give you a Bloggong tip?

Do not put up the entire code for these 2000 pics. It’s taken me about 7 minutes to download the post (despite the fact I’ve got super broad braodband). What apain in the ar*e.

Just put up the banner and a few pics

    365ad, thanks for stopping by.

Jeremy, sorry mate, but it’s the way I want it to be. It’s all about the link love. I know it’s slow, but I at least put the page break above the pictures so that it doesn’t slow down the homepage.

As one of the 2000 who is trying to keep up with all the link love, just wanted to say thanks! I’ll be posting the entire list when it’s complete, for now I’ve just been linking back to Tino’s original page. BTW - the images downloaded in not time for me. ;o)

Thanks for posting the 2000 bloggers and including Flooring The Consumer. Isn’t it great to see how diverse we are?

Thanks, Holly. The images are doing OK for me as well. Hopefully not too many folks are having trouble with it. Thanks for stopping by!

C.b., I’m AMAZED at the diversity of this list so far. I’ve seen everything from A-Z make the list and I’ve added a ton of new RSS feeds for blogs I didn’t know existed.

This started out as a great project. What a wonderful idea, idea linking 2000 blogs together. I just hope that Google does not see it as a link farm and I have a good idea they will. I think the biggest problem came when bloggers started to add the code. It’s far better to have 10 good inbound links than 100 inbound links from unrelated blogs. That’s just my opinion.

Rose, honestly, I don’t care if Google wants to look down on this great piece of social networking. I’m never going to do things based on fear and what a search engine dictates as “spam”.

This project has added countless blogs to my RSS readers and I now have a ton of new resources to browse every morning. I’ve made new friends and I’ve been added to new networks.

I see this as the future of the blogosphere. If Google and the rest of the big dogs want to look down on the direction we’re moving in, then I see that as their loss as well.

Sure, I might lose traffic, but at what cost?

“What good is it for a man to gain the world, yet lose his soul?”
