iPod to the rescue!

Kevin Garrad (3rd Infantry Division) was recently patrolling a street in Tikrit, Iraq when a terrorist decided to open fire with an AK-47, hitting him in the iPod. The bullet hit the upper right corner of the iPod and the soldier now has a story that won’t go away anytime soon.

Kevin had the iPod in his jacket pocket on the left side of his chest where the bullet hit. The iPod slowed the bullet down so that it wouldn’t penetrate his body armor. Kevin walked out without a scratch.

Apple, Circuit City, and several others are making sure Kevin has a new iPod. As one commenter said on Flickr… this brings a whole new meaning to “ROCK ON!”
