“40 to 50 to Life”

3-24-07 UPDATE: Apparently scalding wasn’t “punishment” enough. Jordan was also suffering from malnourishment.

Jordan Gonsioroski, RIP

***************************
This 10 year old girl has become a poster child for the evil of physical and sexual abuse of children in the Twin Cities.

Abused throughout her 10 years of existence, raped by her mother’s boyfriend and finally killed by her “father” last July who “punished” Jordan by placing her in 148 degree scalding water until her skin sloughed off. Although she could have been saved by prompt medical attention, that is expecting too much from such “adults.”

She is, of course, only one of countless innocent children subjected to such unspeakable cruelty. Our local media follows the case as it continues to make it’s way through our “justice system.” And every time I see her picture with her haunting eyes, it rips my heart out.

Anyone with an ounce of humanity cannot read her story without it tearing at your soul.

There are hundreds of links on her sad story; here are three:

All of the adults that had a role in this crime or who didn’t take reasonable steps to protect this child should rot in prison (i.e. “40 to 50 to Life”)

Unfortunately, this occurred in the People’s Republic of MN. As a former liberal I understand how the bleeding heart justice system we have here works: Jordan is only a “secondary” victim. The “primary” victims are the criminals themselves. Justice and deterrence are of little importance. After all, Jordan is out of the picture. So we instead need to focus on “saving” and “reforming” the monsters that committed this crime.

Given that, I suppose the best “justice” that can hoped for will be 15-20 years for each of those responsible, with the possibility of time off for “good behavior” and/or some parole/anger counseling thrown in.

But keep your chin up; remember the rallying cry of liberals: “It’s for the children.”

There, now don’t you feel better ??
