TIME TO DUMP THE PARTY
I’ll tell you what we’re going to do ……… we’re doing to dump the Republican Party. It’s time to start over.
Given the abomination of the so-called immigration bill that is currently before the Senate, it’s time for all real conservatives to dump the Republican Party as I did last year

I read lots of conservative pundits. On most issues (Iraq, taxes, spending, North Korea, health care, Iran, etc. etc.) you’ll usually see a range of conservative opinion. Until now. Until this bill. I’ve yet to read ONE conservative commentator say that this bill is a good idea. Not one!! Aside from RINO’s in the Senate, the only “conservatives” I’ve seen in support of this are working for the White House. The fact that Administration personnel are leading the cheer (instead of resigning as a real conservative would) is troubling and speaks volumes.
John McCain is a war hero. And a patriot. Having said that, he was wrong on McCain-Feingold, wrong on the restrictions imposed on interrogators when grilling terrorist suspects, and now he’s toast given his support of this fill. When I saw him doing his photo op with Ted Kennedy in support of this bill, I saw his chances of becoming President slip away faster than Michael Jackson’s pants at a Cub Scout meeting.
This bill should never have seen the light of day. Given that it has, pathetic is too soft a word for conservatives who continue to carry water for the Bush Administration or the Republican Party. Time for a new party boys and girls.

Keep up the pressure on the RINOs and the Conservatives that say they are but run when the fire gets hot!

Great post! You are right on. I pretty much gave up on the Grand Old Party years ago.
The Republican Party is better on paper than the Democratic Party, but in practice they are at best just fighting a delaying action rather than trying to win the war. The highest praise I can give them is that they are the lesser of two evils. I wish there was a practical, Conservative 3rd party.
