What a ride!

WOW! Fred Thompson has gotten the entire blogosphere into a stir without even lifting a finger. In fact, he hasn’t even announced he’ll run. We don’t even know if he WILL RUN for that matter.
But bloggers are hot on his trail as momentum picks up in his direction. It appears as though he may very well have the conservative vote without even asking.
Personally, I think Fred Thompson is nothing short of a breath of fresh air. While in Washington, DC a few weeks ago, I had the chance to hear the other GOP candidates speak. Not one, NOT ONE gave me any meat to chew on. They all made canned speeches that provided nothing new and stunk of DC politics. I went home scratching my head, wondering just how bad it would be if someone such as Hillary did win. I mean, would it be much different? You have John McCain wanting to give amnesty to millions of lawbreakers. You have Rudy who doesn’t like that I carry a gun. there is Mitt Romney who can’t seem to stabilize on a single issue. Mike Huckabee is a socialist, and that’s being nice. Ron Paul, well I like Ron Paul, but he wants us to cut and run, leaving Iraq and all of her people to the killers and tyrants. I can’t support that.
In comes a slight hint that Fred Thompson *might* run for President. REALLY??? I’m drooling now. And apparently, I’m not alone.
Blogs for Thompson went live in the wee hours of the morning today. 4:00 AM to be exact. And since then I’ve gotten 180 unique visits. Not bad for the first day online, and it’s only halfway over.
Granted, some of the traffic could be due to James Dobson’s sickening attack on Thompson, while openly supporting Newt Gingrich. But traffic is traffic. And it goes to show that Fred Thompson, has indeed, turned the heads of MANY.
Fred Thompson, you’ve given us a glimpse of hope. PLEASE don’t let us down.

If their unwilling to fight for their own liberties, they deserve tyrants.
The Fed isn’t any sort of provider of liberty here at home, so I’m not sure how the hell we expect them to provide it overseas.

Being “unwilling” and “not ready” are two completely different things.

We certainly haven’t seen all of those terrorists in our own streets as of late.
