Of course he feels the civil war shouldn't have been fought. Every other civilized country in the world was able to end slavery without a military invasion that killed more Americans than any war in our history. Abe Lincoln was as racist as most of the South. Read Lysander Spooner for even a minute and you'll see Lincoln was no opponent of slavery. Lysander Spooner was one of the most prominent abolitionists of that era, and, like almost all abolitionists in that era, he thought Lincoln was a scoundrel of a politician.
