Thompson Talk…

27 November 2007

A couple of recent quotes about candidate Fred Thompson to liven up the day:

Erick Erickson of Red State blog explains why he likes Fred Thompson:

“Fred is not a religious conservative. He’s a “leave me the heck alone” conservative. […] I want an across the board pro-life, pro-defense, small goverment, pro-entrepreneur conservative. And of the three men who fit the bill, I think Fred offers the most with the least baggage. He’ll make sure the government leaves me the heck alone.”

On the new Tax Proposal:

Fred Thompson has released his tax plan – it can be read here – and it has earned praise from the Club for Growth.

Liberty Pundit says something that seems to be widely said in the blogosphere every time Thompson releases a new policy proposal: (immigration/borders, taxes, social security, military)

[This plan] has heavily swayed me toward endorsing Fred Thompson. […] Honestly, this is the first thing a candidate has proposed that has truly excited me about his or her candidacy.

Update by Brian: […] By far, this is the most detailed plan we’ve gotten from any Republican candidate, on any issue. And that’s what I want. I don’t want rhetoric, I want the details, boys. Tell me, in detail, what you stand for and what you plan to do.

Happy reading!
