Conservatives are ready for a new candidate, but questions about Thompson arise
According to Richard Land, two words sum up Fred Thompson’s burgeoning appeal to Republican voters: “red meat.” That’s what Land, president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, says Thompson offers Republicans […]
Academic Freedom
16 June 2007Fred Thompson recently wrote an excellent column on academic freedom. The radical left has taken over many colleges and in the name of promoting diversity it tries to stamp out all traces of conservative thought.
One of the most left-wing colleges in America is the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (UMass). I’m a professor at a […]

Please Tell Me Mitt Didn’t Say This…..
9 May 2007Please tell me Moderate Mitt didn’t say this:
“There is no work more important to America’s future than the work that is done within the four walls of the American home,” Romney said. He also criticized people who choose not to get married because they enjoy the single life.
Who made this guy the moral authority?

Where are the Hits Coming From?
9 May 2007I’m sure everyone is by now aware of some rival campaign looking for dirt on Senator Thompson in Nashville. Today, it seems that a rival GOP campaign has found a treasure chest worth of dirt on Rudy Giuliani, and a 1994 campaign sheet that lists Thompson as pro-choice as well. Who is this […]
If Thompson does enter the race, whom would it hurt?
4 May 2007Some of you may not know who Charlie Cook is, but he is a long time inside the beltway pollster and political prognosticator who has had his own political newsletter (the Cook Political Report) for years.
He has had a fairly good record of choosing the winner of national contests and he has just released his […]
