Evidently, “It’s Hard Out Here for a (Terrorist With So Many Sides to) Pimp”. YNET reports there are, “Palestinian forces suffering from emotional issues”.

In the Muslim world, it used to be “Me against my brother - my brother and I against my cousin!” But the strain of killing other Muslims is taking its toll and Muslims may give their relatives a break to unite against the rest of us.

Palestinian security forces have been seeking emotional counseling, following “internal infighting in Gaza”. Dr. Riad al-Aqra, the director for the Gaza hospital for mental health, said that “although the occupation is a major cause for emotional depression for Gaza residents.Palestinian infighting plays a striking role in the increase of shock, tension and depression, present in previously unseen amounts.”

“One member of the Hamas security force came to me suffering from high tension, which was causing physical problems. He said he felt fear from the fact that he would burn in hell forever if he fired even one bullet at someone,” the doctor said.

He told of another case, in which a member of the security forces arrived with similar symptoms. “He said he couldn’t fire at another Muslim, and that he felt pain and bitterness,” al-Aqra said.

“These are the feelings on both sides of the infighting, and emphasize that everyone, deep inside, rejects the civil war in his soul, rejects that which is unnatural,” he explained.

While initially encouraging, I mean, it’s hard to view Muslims giving up killing as a bad thing, the story has a dark side. If Muslims get along with each other, it bodes ill for non-Muslims.

That is the distressing rest of the story. Evidently this message is being preached in Muslim communities. The same guys seeking counseling for killing Muslims have no qualms killing Jews and Americans (and presumably the highest value targets, American Jews), whom they want dead worse than they want their rivals dead. It is not killing Jews and Americans creating tension and stress in Palestinian killers’ souls, just killing other Muslims.

To regain a clear purpose and relieve a little stress, remember the original goal - kill Americans and Jews.

… the Muslim Brotherhood addressed another issue this weekend. In an announcement published on Friday, the movement criticized the suicide attacks that took place in Morocco and Algeria recently and urged the attackers to aim “all of the resistance energy on the United States and Israel.”

“Those youngsters that blew themselves up for no real reason showed a loss of vision, a lack of understanding and loss of the target…they should turn their resistance energy and all the means available to them against the (Islamic) nation’s real enemy. The enemy that conquers, kills and violates rights. The enemy that is hiding in Jerusalem, Baghdad and Kabul,” said Akef in his announcement.

So for the moment, it’s still open season on all things non-Muslim. Who knows, perhaps killing a few non-Muslims might even brighten up a killer’s day.

One day it may be possible to live in a world without Muslim terrorism. I don’t see that happening any time soon. Death and destruction has been preached and practiced in that culture literally for millennia. Old habits die hard. It will likely get worse before it gets better. Still, there is hope in the fact that Muslim society is very clan and family oriented. Thus, while calls for unity are easy to make in principle, agreement to unity in practice is a harder sell.

Still, let’s not fail to ‘feel their pain’. After all, Muslims are killing themselves without purpose and it’s stressing them out. This must stop immediately. If one must kill, and what good Muslim mustn’t, head to where the real killing needs doing. Go West young man …

Thinking the phrase, “Can’t we all just get along?” ought to apply to everyone …
