I believe it was Mark Twain who said, “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated!”

So it is with the failure, death and futility of our efforts in Iraq. Harry Reid declared the surge ineffective and the war lost. I don’t have enough fingers in my family of 7 to count the pundits and observers from the Left who rushed to agree.

However, as another old saying goes, “Those who say it can’t be done are usually interrupted by those doing it!” So it is with US effectiveness in Iraq. But don’t believe me … how about CBS News??

No one denies there remains work to be done. But let’s not forget our future work builds on that which we’ve accomplished previously. That same ‘previously’ sort of work Reid and company wrote off for political gain. If they continue to ignore or forget the work we’re doing, they can sing along with Brittney.

Thinking it’s nice they get a choice to describe their actions and still hang with the Britt-Mistress. They can sing about themselves “Ooops, I did it again!” Or they can sing about themselves “M-I-C … K-E-Y” Everybody now … “M-O-U-S-Eeeeeeeeeee!”
