Democratic Allies’ Secrecy and Chicanery in Colorado
Posted by: Blue Collar Muse in Democratic Party, Individual Responsibility, Liberal, PoliticsReaders here will, no doubt, be familiar with my disapproval for most things Democratic (as in Democratic Party). High on that list are the usual suspects rounded up when talking about allies of the Democratic Party and their common goals of bigger government, higher taxes, weak defense, restricted liberties and reduced transparency. Groups like unions, ACORN, environmentalists and the like.
Even across this last weekend when I posted on ACORN’s involvement in creating the financial mess our country faces, there was no lack of people criticizing me for outing ACORN. They are a great community organization, they do great work, without them lots of people couldn’t afford a home and such.
Conspicuous in its absence was any addressing the notion ACORN and others are tools of and shills for the Democratic Party. There was no comment on their well known practice of operating openly without making public their affiliations; often disguising or denying their affiliation with the Democratic Party and other leftist activist groups. Consequently, they get away with funneling money and manpower to Democrats and in many instances, tax dollars are either outright paying for such activity or subsidizing it.
It will be a bit more difficult to deny this any longer thanks to some groundbreaking investigative work by Face the State in Colorado. They begin today posting a week long expose of Colorado Democracy Alliance. If the first installment is any indication, they are going to name names, open up checkbooks and turn on a fan in those smoky back rooms so famous in Democratic politics. Check back daily this week to watch the scurrying begin when the light starts shining.
As a teaser to get you to click through, I’m sure teachers in Colorado are wondering on what basis the Colorado Teacher’s Union has committed “a minimum of $400,000 annually to far left politics” from union dues. Knowing the guys at Face the State, this is only going to get better as the week goes by.
