I don’t agree with everything this young man says. But his passion and his general observations make some eloquent statements. Men and women such as this are the future of the Right. Why do I say so? Just one quote …

“It’s one thing to reach across the aisle to the other side. It’s quite another to have so much gravity that the other side of the aisle comes to us!”

Enjoy!!

This year, as never before, claims of vote fraud and voter suppression are dominating the discussion of the American electoral process.   What can be done to combat the very real specter of having our elections decided not by Americans voting by the process but by Americans violating the process?  A new group, The Voter Integrity Project (VIP), is putting together a network of citizen activists to help keep an eye on the process around the country.  They even have an incentive to look out for vote fraud.  The details are below.

This election season, political forces on both sides of the partisan divide have been documented committing significant vote fraud and voter suppression. These activities negate the votes of law-abiding voters. In order to both raise public awareness in election fraud and prevent it from occurring in the first place, the Voter Integrity Project is sponsoring a video contest with $1,000 in cash prizes and three brand new Flip cameras.

The VIP video contest is a chance for citizens to sound off and fight back… and, in the process, win some cold hard cash and cool gadgets. Check out our video promo, featuring the lovely Izzy Santa, by clicking below.

Guidelines. The contest’s scope is broad. VIP is looking for both ideas and action, both theory and practice. Acceptable submissions include (but are in no way limited to):

  • Rants or demonstrations on how election fraud threatens the democratic process
  • Documented instances of election fraud in practice or other suspicious election-related activity
  • Any combination of the two

Thinking outside-the-box, being creative and showcasing talents are all highly recommended. One might dress up, go out in public, dance, sing a song, or present a short narrative. Those with more serious personalities may video their vote, ask voters questions about the election process, or document a poll-watching experience. Perhaps even some real investigative work. Ultimately, anything that helps protect the integrity of voting.

Requirements:

  • Submissions ought to be under 3 minutes (although longer videos will still be accepted)
  • All submissions must be uploaded to YouTube. Leave a comment with a link to the video or email the URL to info@samadamsalliance.org.
  • DEADLINE: Tuesday, November 25th @ MIDNIGHT. (Why three whole weeks after the election? Election fraud often continues well after election day.

My friend, Jon Henke, has posted up a great video from the National Republican Congressional Committee. In a post brilliant in it’s brevity and simplicity, Jon merely posts this video:

Unfortunately, there were far too many Republicans who voted for this abomination. As my friend notes, We’re All Homeowners Now. Good luck getting any benefit out of that mortgage you own, though. It’s yours to pay for and someone else’s to enjoy.

Thank you Democrats. To those Republicans who voted “Yea”, nice to know that Smaller Government, Lower Tax platform you all are so well known for is so personally inspiring to you.

You’d think after Chuck Schumer’s ignorance was plastered all over the news for leaking his letter to the Office of Thrift Supervision and personally creating the run on IndyMac Bank that destroyed IndyMac in just 3 business days that Democrats would learn to keep their mouths shut.

You would think after reports on tight credit, volatile markets and rest of the panic and doom-and-gloom scenarios for which Democrats bill themselves as the saviors of the Country and the Economy, they might realize people pay attention to what they say, however ignorant it is.

You would think one of the biggest providers of stupid Senatorial sound bites, Harry “The War is Lost” Reid (D-NV), would have learned to keep his pie-hole closed when asked about things he has no knowledge of. You’d think so, but you’d be wrong.

Reid stated in a recent news conference that he had heard a major insurance company with a household name was on the verge of insolvency.  Today, news is out that three different insurance companies fitting this description, “… a major insurance company — one with a name that everyone knows …” had major stock selloffs following comments by Harry Reid that can only be described as “Look at me, I’m important and have insider information!!!!”

The LA Times reports the following on Harry Reid’s foolish pronouncement,

But with investors already on high alert after the Federal Reserve’s rescue of insurance titan American International Group Inc. on Sept. 16, and with the credit crunch still making funding difficult for even the largest U.S. financial companies, Reid’s comments were the equivalent of pouring gasoline on a grease fire.

MetLife plunged $7.19, or 15%, to $40.96; Hartford dived $12.20, or 32%, to $25.91; and Prudential slid $7.15, or 11%, to $57.65.

And no one can blame short sellers, because all three of the stocks are covered by the Securities and Exchange Commission’s temporary ban on short sales of financial issues.

Investors are so skittish that even a reference to an industry, let alone a specific company is enough to trigger volatile trading. Harry Reid doesn’t understand that. That he later backtracked with these words,

A statement from his office said that Reid was “not personally aware of any particular company being on the verge of bankruptcy” and that “he has no special knowledge about nor has he talked to any insurance company officials.”

reveals his ignorance even further.

In the midst of a financial crisis, the Senate Majority leader repeats a rumor he heard and for which he admits he has absolutely no basis for believing. This fantasy, created and employed to make himself and his position more authoritative, results in a sell-off which majorly impacts 3 of the largest companies in the country, threatens the jobs and investments of perhaps millions of ordinary Americans. But we’re supposed to have faith and confidence in Senator Reid and the rest of his Democratic (and more than a few ignorant Republicans) associates in the Senate.

Harry Reid doesn’t understand even “throw-away” comments in this financial atmosphere can ignite firestorms. Yet he expects a $700 billion bailout, quickly cobbled together, haphazardly grafted onto unrelated legislation and then passed through a Democrat controlled Senate so Senators could look authoritative and responsive - this is safe? Reid and Company don’t understand how today’s minor words impact tomorrow’s Market. But their major overhauls of Constitutional strictures and Economic reality are going to be just fine? See for yourself how small a spark can set off such a huge fire in this 18 second video.

Democrats caused our current financial mess with ill-advised but well-intentioned legislation like “The Community Reinvestment Act”. Their bailout solution is just as well-intentioned and just as ill-advised. There is a reason the Founders put incredible limits on the scope and power of the Federal Government’s authority. Not the least of which is that the Government should not have the power to destroy a company or an Economy with a throw away comment in a press conference. Only the people intimately involved with that company should have that authority; those working there and who invest in it.

Someone please inform Democrats, in DC and all across the US, of this. It’s too bad Nancy Pelosi couldn’t turn off Harry Reid’s microphone and shut off the power to the media’s gear for this press conference like she did to her House colleagues a while back. Somebody needs to get control of out of control Democratic, self serving blathering before it does more than savage a company or three and wreak havoc on the citizen’s finances. Next time around, Democrats might find the right words to destroy the entire Economy.

From the guy who gave us last week’s viral video “Burning Down the House” (1Million+ views), comes another great piece of YouTube goodness.   Democrats in the House, many of whom are playing major roles currently in both defending the Democrat’s involvement in the implosion of the housing market and blaming the GOP and the Free Market for the financial woes, are simply shown here talking about how wonderful Freddie and Fannie are.  This at a time when the GOP was calling for investigation, oversight and change at the agencies.  These people have no shame!

I remember just three years ago. The scene was chaotic, people were everywhere, frantic! Concern etched on their faces, “Is it too late? Have I waited too long?” No, it wasn’t fearful Gulf Coast residents hoping to get away from Katrina. It was fearful Democrats trying to find a camera and microphone to condemn George Bush and the GOP for hating poor, black people. Such awful white men simply couldn’t be anything but racists considering the way the entire situation was mismanaged. Why, they probably did it on purpose. I had no idea evil corporate technology had progressed to the point where we can generate Category 5 hurricanes on demand. Damn you, Haliburton!!

The fact that Ray Nagin, the black, male, Democrat Mayor of New Orleans, and Kathleen Blanco, the white, female, Democrat Governor of Louisiana so totally mismanaged the local situation on the ground that people who depended on them lost their lives because of their incompetence while others lost everything they had for the same reason is seldom acknowledged. Instead, Bush and Co. is blamed. You’d think the truth would get out, but you’d be wrong.

The GOP is legitimately concerned about the timing of this week’s GOP nominating convention in Minneapolis and the arrival of another huge hurricane on America’s southern doorstep. The specter of Democrat usage of clips of Republicans enjoying themselves at parties juxtaposed with hurricane footage and human suffering from the Gulf strikes fear into Republican hearts and warms the cockles of whatever Democrats consider theirs.

So much so that Democrats are publicly gleeful at the possibility of the damage, death and destruction about to be visited on Gulf residents by Hurricane Gustav because of the negative impact it will have on the GOP Convention. Just so we’re clear, I will repeat my charge. Democrats are excited that people may die or lose everything in a Katrina repeat because it will rain, literally and figuratively, on the GOP parade in Minneapolis.

It is understandable that some of you may think this is just my low opinion of Democrats finding a voice, Poor Blue, he just can’t help bashing the Left. They do so much good. They’re so compassionate and effective he has to keep tearing them down to elevate himself! Unfortunately, you’d be wrong. The next time I tell you something unflattering about the Left, remember this. Because there’s video proof.

Two prominent Democrats, former National Chairman of the Democratic National Committee Don Fowler and currently serving Congressman John Spratt, Democrat of South Carolina, while on a plane returning home from the Democrat’s Convention in Denver openly and publicly laughed about the possibility that Gustav would damage our country and kill our people because it would be good for the Democrats to have that to talk about opposite the GOP convention! In an un-Democratic meme, they even invoke the name and participation of God in the event choosing to view this as evidence God is on the side of the Democrats!

The video is here. Both of these despicable excuses for men should be drummed out of the Party at a minimum and expelled from our country for their callous and cavalier attitude. Given what happens to Democrats who engage in outrageous behavior; men like Barney Frank, William Jefferson and Bill Clinton, this will probably be the best thing that ever happened to their political careers.

Excuse me if I continue to find Democratic promises of concern for the welfare of the little guy repulsive, repugnant and, thanks to these two - I don’t even know what to call them, they don’t qualify as “men” in any book I own - thanks to them, I can add opportunistic lies to the list.

Please, you Democrats out there, the ones refusing to condemn these two or call for their ouster, explain to me where and how I am wrong? Justify this. Given the attitude of the upper echelons of your Party, I really do Hope there is Change in the wind for November.

I got the following email from the nice folks over at American Solutions, Newt Gingrich’s Energy Policy group.

Congress is failing to adopt a long-term American energy plan, and it’s standing in the way of developing more American energy now. Politics is once again trumping common sense in Washington.

Since Congress is not doing its job, American Solutions would like to offer one lucky American a break - free gasoline for an entire year!

Today, we are launching a video contest called “Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Nothing.” We call it “Pay Nothing” because that is exactly what the winner will pay to fill up their gas tank for the next year.

American Solutions, and our General Chairman Newt Gingrich decided to have a little fun in announcing the contest.

To hear Speaker Gingrich’s special announcement, please watch the video below:

Using YouTube, we are asking contest participants to create videos that demonstrate why a “Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less” approach is best for our wallets and our country. After you all get to vote, the winner will be announced on our second annual Solutions Day, which will take place on September 27, 2008.

This is your chance to send a message to Congress and the American public.

So get creative, get your cameras rolling, and head over to American Solutions Video Contest to learn how you can “Pay Nothing” for gas for a whole year.

Why are you still here? Go get your video cameras, already!

My favorite Monty Python scene is where Arthur meets Dennis who explains his system of government. Arthur then explains how he got to be King after another peasant observes that she hadn’t voted for him.

As I listened to the dialogue, again. I was reminded of nothing so much as Obama. All hype, story and superstition and no substance whatsoever. Even more chilling will be the way in which Obama and the Dems treat those who disagree with them should the nation be so foolish as to elect them.

For all of their platitudes about caring for the people and being the people’s champion, the Dems are far more imperial and fascist than the Right ever dreamed of being. They won’t just try to convince you they’re right, they’ll insist you believe it too.  If you dare to disagree, the violence inherent in the system, complete with repression, will immediately follow. Except it won’t be as funny, then.
