My friend, Jon Henke, has posted up a great video from the National Republican Congressional Committee. In a post brilliant in it’s brevity and simplicity, Jon merely posts this video:

Unfortunately, there were far too many Republicans who voted for this abomination. As my friend notes, We’re All Homeowners Now. Good luck getting any benefit out of that mortgage you own, though. It’s yours to pay for and someone else’s to enjoy.

Thank you Democrats. To those Republicans who voted “Yea”, nice to know that Smaller Government, Lower Tax platform you all are so well known for is so personally inspiring to you.

From the guy who gave us last week’s viral video “Burning Down the House” (1Million+ views), comes another great piece of YouTube goodness.   Democrats in the House, many of whom are playing major roles currently in both defending the Democrat’s involvement in the implosion of the housing market and blaming the GOP and the Free Market for the financial woes, are simply shown here talking about how wonderful Freddie and Fannie are.  This at a time when the GOP was calling for investigation, oversight and change at the agencies.  These people have no shame!

My favorite Monty Python scene is where Arthur meets Dennis who explains his system of government. Arthur then explains how he got to be King after another peasant observes that she hadn’t voted for him.

As I listened to the dialogue, again. I was reminded of nothing so much as Obama. All hype, story and superstition and no substance whatsoever. Even more chilling will be the way in which Obama and the Dems treat those who disagree with them should the nation be so foolish as to elect them.

For all of their platitudes about caring for the people and being the people’s champion, the Dems are far more imperial and fascist than the Right ever dreamed of being. They won’t just try to convince you they’re right, they’ll insist you believe it too.  If you dare to disagree, the violence inherent in the system, complete with repression, will immediately follow. Except it won’t be as funny, then.

Great video of Gerald Baker, of The Times of London, narrating his recent column. Written in the style of a biblical narrative, the piece is a humorous look at Barack Obama’s recent trip to Europe and the Middle East and the results thereof.

If there is one thing that the Left never tires of doing, it is trumpeting to anyone who will listen that they really are patriotic; they really do support the troops; they really do care about the country; and, in the latest election cycle, they really are Christians and want to court the votes of religious people in America.

It might even be true.

Unfortunately, those on the Left continue to actually behave in a manner sufficient to cause any reasonable and rational person to question what they say in the light of what they do. Seen another way, if the Left actually behaved in accordance with their announcements, they wouldn’t have to continually tell us what they believe. We’re smart enough to get the picture.

The most recent outrage is from Larry Lessing who is both an Obama advisor as well as an advisor to Google, among other clients. That should be sufficient to establish his bona fides with the Left. At a recent Google employee meeting, Lessig showed a video that features Jesus Christ prancing around a metropolitan area dressed in a loin cloth until he is run over by a bus. All while singing the recent pop hit, ‘I Will Survive’.

Erick Erickson, over at RedState, is rightly outraged over this, as am I. Lessig’s point is irrelevant. It’s how he chooses to emphasize and make his point. Over the weekend I spoke at a conference in Denver. I had a host of potential media and sources to illustrate the points I made. I opted for Shakespeare, Shelley and the like. I didn’t use video so I was less 2.0 than Lessing However, neither did I diss the guy hundreds of millions of people worship so I was less of jerk than Lessing, too.

Note to the Left: We really DO watch what you do and listen to what you say. Either change your message or change your beliefs. Continuing to say one thing while doing another is not helping your cause. One final thought - to those of you clinging to the Left as the best and brightest hope for the country and the world but who also retain traditional American values, perhaps this would be a good time for you to be considering your options.

Made possible this …

And so it comes down to this …

No video can tell you what to do or what to believe. For that, you’ll need a mirror …
