Although he didn’t attend and speak at the 2007 Conservative Leadership Conference himself, Ron Paul’s campaign supporters manned a booth in the Exhibit Hall and turned out in sufficient numbers to top the GOP presidential straw poll. Mitt Romney and Duncan Hunter - both of whom spoke at the conference - came in second and third respectively, clearly showing that conference attendees rewarded candidates who participated in CLC and campaigned for their votes. OK, the first thing you need to know about Rightoberfest - the 2007 Conservative Leadership Conference - is that it will be held this Thursday-Saturday in Reno/Sparks, Nevada. The event is being co-hosted by my organization, Citizen Outreach, and Grover Norquist’s Americans for Tax Reform. The conference’s honorary chairman is Rep. John Shadegg of Arizona.
