I have been a man without a party for about two years and it is not bad at all. Both parties are bad for our country, but for now, we are stuck with them. I encourage everyone to change your voter registration to independent, to send a message to both parties; vote however you like. Welcome to the coalition! I just want to know what is true and what is just and until you have looked at something from all sides with intellectual honesty you won't know if what you believe is true. It is good to wrestle with your beliefs and to question why you believe what you believe. I just want to know what is true and what is just and until you have looked at something from all sides with intellectual honesty you won’t know if what you believe is true.

It's beginning to change some, unfortunately, but seems to be limited so far to GOP people who wonder where their party has run off to. The great thing about being on the Conservative end of the political spectrum is a greatly reduced concern about being Borked by your own people.
