ID cards for illegals… the new San Francisco Treat!
From the San Francisco Chronicle: (found at The Drudge Report)
“San Francisco Supervisor Tom Ammiano is drafting legislation to create a city identification card for immigrants unable to get traditional ID cards, a move likely to anger advocates of tougher immigration enforcement.”
Later in the article we find:
“Ammiano said the impetus for the city cards came from the immigrant community, which asked for his help. Illegal immigrants who are victims or witnesses of crime often do not report the incident because they have no identification and fear deportation. Identification also is needed for many services, such as city health care.
San Francisco already has a sanctuary policy for immigrants, which means no city agency, including the police, will assist the federal government to deport people. So-called sanctuary cities have become a major issue among Republican presidential candidates.”
Apparently San Fransicko officials believe the transgendered people have trouble with identification so they too would benefit from these cards. I am not sure where the difficulty for these people stems from… it isn’t as if driver’s license applications ask what the applicant chooses to wear. I suggest that this is to give the impression that these cards are not just about illegal aliens.
I suggest San Fran would be a great first step in withdrawing federal funds from sanctuary cities. That is unless their plan is to entice illegals to come and get the cards so they can fall into the trap and subsequent deportation that might be waiting for them. Wouldn’t it be great if these cities cared for the law and expected the people within its city limits to be there legally?

Transgendered is when people switch their gender from one to the other causing a problem when a person who used to biologically be a male now lives her life as a female but her ID still say her name is Timothy and she’s a male. That’s transgender which is different than a cross-dresser, so if you’re going to be such an ass at least be an educated one before you post.

Thanks for the lesson. I hadn’t given the details of be transgendered much thought. So these ID cards not only benefit illegal aliens, they would also benefit sex change patients? If the sex had changed “biologically,” why would they need a special ID card? Have all sex change recipients been denied drivers licenses that reflected the new gender?
