the self-loathing way to save the planet

The Drudge Report has a link to an article in the Daily Mail about two women who lead by example in the fight prevent the spread of the new plague upon the planet. This plague has been spreading for thousands of years, but only now in these enlightened times are we aware of it. We now know that the most evil, despicable, premeditating, coldly calculating eco-criminals are… children. (In the interest of full disclosure I must confess to unleashing five of these on the unsuspecting environment.)

The first of the beacons is a lady named Toni who shudders with horror at the thought of having a child.

[Excerpt]

While some might think it strange to celebrate the reversal of nature and denial of motherhood, Toni relishes her decision with an almost religious zeal.

“Having children is selfish. It’s all about maintaining your genetic line at the expense of the planet,” says Toni, 35.

“Every person who is born uses more food, more water, more land, more fossil fuels, more trees and produces more rubbish, more pollution, more greenhouse gases, and adds to the problem of over-population.”

While most parents view their children as the ultimate miracle of nature, Toni seems to see them as a sinister threat to the future. [End excerpt]

The words “an almost religious zeal” seem to be a fitting way to describe the actions and ideals of these people. There seems to be self-loathing theme to most, if not all the “Godless” (by Ann Coulter) sects of the religion that defines liberalism.

In this case people are just bad for the planet and the other living things on it. The logic of these eco-nuts dictates that humans are the lowest form of life and should be limited or eradicated to benefit the other forms. Toni received top billing in the article because she did more to further the cause than the other lady. Toni, you see, had herself sterilized, but that isn’t all. Toni couldn’t find a doctor willing to sterilize her for quite a while and of course Toni wanted to have recreational sex. Toni used birth control which didn’t prevent her from becoming pregnant. Therefore Toni had the opportunity to partake in the ultimate sacrament of liberalism, abortion. This brave self-loathing icon has done her part to protect the earth from infestation by another carbon dioxide exhaling pollution producer.

Reducing one’s carbon butt-print via abortion can be rewarding, just ask Toni:

[Excerpt]“Every year, we also take a nice holiday - we’ve just come back from South Africa.

“We feel we can have one long-haul flight a year, as we are vegan and childless, thereby greatly reducing our carbon footprint and combating over-population. [End Excerpt]

I can’t help but wonder how they can justify their vegan lifestyle. Aren’t plants living things and part of the environment? Apparently these environmentalists don’t care much for the planet’s plant life given the fact that what they don’t eat they are attempting to starve of life-sustaining carbon dioxide. Perhaps they are not the eco-warriors they get credit for being. Perhaps they enjoy the publicity they get by hitting the benchmarks of liberalism and then telling everyone about it.

The next step in San Fran is to be … trans-specied?

The Drudge Report has this heart warming headline:

San Francisco approves ID cards that exclude gender…

My first question is, why stop there? Are cross dressers and sex-change recipients the only people that have difficulty coming to terms with the confining labels, droupings, and expectations asssigned by society. Should people (is it judgemental to refer to them as people and thereby implying they are to grouped into a classification as being human?) that don’t feel they were born with the correct gender be put on a pedestal and given special rights? What are we doing to protect the rights, wants, and needs of others that may feel unfairly classified as a result of their physical traits?

Trans-eye-color people struggle with licenses that proclaim to all that would card them that they have the eye color that they actually have. These victims often refrain from buying that six-pack because it is too humiliating a process. Imagine yourself in the same situation. You were born (please don’t take offense that I accuse you of being born and therefore not conforming to the sacrament of abortion) with blue eyes and as is often the case, your eyes changed color in your infancy. Now your eyes are brown, but you feel green-eyed! How can you be expected to pull out that driver’s license, that disgustingly confining device, when you know it shows your natural eye-color. How could you bear to show this document to the licquor store clerk when you know deep in your mind that you are indeed green-eyed regardless of the actual pigment of your iris?

Speaking of licenses, how about the profiling that is done to those that have to live with having the date they were born shown for anyone to see? What about those who don’t feel comfortable with the idea that they were actually born? How do we ensure that consideration is given to people that feel more hatched than born?

Where is the ACLU when it comes to the trampling of the rights of trans-specied individuals (is it acceptable to label them as individuals? What if they feel that they are multiples?) Why should people who know in the depths of their hearts that they are invertebrates suffer the shame of being viewed as having the backbones that exist in their backs? What about those that feel canine, and not just because they can’t stick to a monogamous relationship, as opposed to human? Why should they be expected to buy dog food and endure the humiliation of having the check-out clerk thinking that it is for a pet?

I am thinking we all need to work to ensure that nature does not get in the way of the constitutional rights that everyone has to be considered anything of his or her or its choice and to not be recognized as anything that can be construed as traditional, normal, conforming to laws of nature.

Conservative Groups Raise Moral Concern In Border Agents Case
Over 30 Organizations Ask President Bush For Immediate Pardon

Washington, DC-November 19- Today, thirty-one conservative
organizations sent a strongly worded appeal to President Bush on
behalf of wrongly imprisoned Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and
Jose Compean. Signatories include conservative stalwarts like Paul
Weyrich, Phyllis Schlafly, David Keene, Frank Gaffney, Morton
Blackwell, and a number of other prominent evangelical Christian,
national security and border security groups.
“We sincerely feel that your inaction and lack of immediacy to
personally address the inhumane treatment of these two agents runs
counter to the tenets of a compassionate conservative and the
Christian values that many of your supporters find a sustaining beacon
of your presidency,” states the letter.
“Conservatives who champion the sanctity of every life, born and
unborn, find it unacceptable that some disillusioned Americans are
being forced to conclude that the lives of Ramos and Compean are
simply what the government has deemed an acceptable level of
“collateral damage” for a failed border security and national
immigration policy…
“When an admitted illegal alien drug smuggler who repeatedly brings
drugs into this country is given government immunity to testify
against the very law enforcement officers hired to stop him, the
American public sees the scales of justice tilting the wrong way. How
can these actions be justified on moral grounds to the American
people? How can they become the lessons we teach our children? They
can’t…

“When justice becomes so tilted, sentences so excessive, and the
treatment of prisoners inhumane, then a president must act to bring
the scales of justice back into balance. He must use his power to
restore faith not only in our judicial system, but faith in the
kindness and forgiveness of the human spirit that is a measure of this
nation’s moral character.”
The letter focuses on the moral implications of the continued
incarceration of Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean despite the
questionable circumstances surrounding their prosecution and asks
President Bush to immediately pardon the two agents. The appeal comes
days after the arrest of Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila, the illegal alien
drug smuggler shot in the buttocks by the agents after resisting
arrest and fleeing back to Mexico. He was later given immunity and
brought back to the United States by U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, as
the prosecution’s star witness against Ramos and Compean. The agents
were sentenced to 11 and 12 years, respectively, and are currently
serving out their prison terms in solitary confinement.
According to the October 17, 2007 federal indictment, Aldrete-Davila
faces 5- 40 years in prison and $2 million in fines for a multiple
load of drugs smuggled into the U.S. while he was protected under
immunity in preparation for the trial against Ramos and Compean. All
details surrounding the additional drug loads were sealed at the
request of the U.S. Attorneys office and subsequently withheld from
the jury.

The complete letter and full list of signatories is attached and can

GOP is short on cash… yet they still want to extort votes for Giuliani!

I had a “duh!” moment this afternoon when I opened my Newsmax.com Insider Report I read that the “GOP is facing money woes in ‘08.” Here is part of the report:

[begin excerpt]”The Republican Party is hoping to bounce back next year from its disastrous showing in the 2006 elections, but financial problems could torpedo the GOP’s counterattack.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee raised $23.4 million during the first three quarters of this year, $5 million less than it raised in the same period in 2005 in preparation for the 2006 elections. The Democrats, on the other hand, raised $42 million, a $10 million increase over its 2005 three-quarters total.

The NRSC now has $8.3 million in the bank, while the Democrats’ cash balance at the end of the third quarter was $23 million.

“Unless Republicans can pick up the pace, they face going into a hostile 2008 election with less money and more contested seats than they had last year,” The Politico reports.[end excerpt]

Some conservatives, such as myself, have been so disgusted by the amnesty, sovereignty endangering trade agreements, and big spending ways endorsed by the RNC recently, that we have closed our wallets. Closed them to the party, that is. Some of us have focused our contributions on specific candidates and causes that represent our …. and this will shock the insulated elites in the party… VALUES!!!!!!!!!!

RNC, I know you are not familiar with the word, values, but you may want to consider learning its meaning. The pundits and and many of the “conservative” talk show hosts seem to be gearing up to ignore the word once again while engaging in vote extortion. Over the top? Maybe in your opinion, not mine. Extortion seems to describe the activities of the elites pretty accurately. To me the question isn’t whether or not it is extortion, it is why the Hell are they engaging in it!?!

The talk show hosts (disclaimer: Laura Ingraham and Mike Church thankfully don’t seem to be enamored with Giuliani) generally like to equate a refusal to vote for Giuliani as either a vote or half a vote for Hillary. These same hosts can’t seem to comprehend that that little word, values for your benefit Mr. Limbaugh and Mr. Hannity, does matter to some people. As icing on the cake, they choose to ignore the seemingly important… here comes another one of those seemingly lost words in the RNC elite vocabulary… FACT that by nominating Giuliani, they are taking big issues off the table!

Pro-life issue - off the table!

Illegal immigration - off the table!

Family values - you guessed it, off the table!

Why are these issues off the table? Well, I’ll tell you. There isn’t a great deal of difference between Rudy and the rest of the Democrat candidates on these issues.

What was that? Rudy says he’ll nominate strict constructionist justices? Let’s go with what he says to get elected, let’s not consider his demonstrated views.

Come again? Rudy says the border should be secured? Let’s go with what he says now, let’s ignore the pride he took in running a sanctuary city in New York. Let’s also ignore his past statements that it would not be possible to secure the entire border (or something along those lines.)

Last week I heard one of the “conservative” radio talk show hosts answer a concern over Rudy pulling something along the lines of the recent comprehensive immigration reform by telling the caller that we rose up against it this year and we could do it again. He also said “good luck trying to do that with Hillary in office.” Therefore the idea is to nominate a candidate that we expect to have to vocally and strongly oppose on the big issues of our time. What is the logic here? Is it the old refrain that Rudy, alone can beat Hillary? Let’s ignore the senate race and the fact that you are taking three big issues off the table and you may be on to something.

There are wonderful men seeking the Republican nomination for president. There are men in that group that would be as good or better than Rudy on terror and taxes (Rudy’s only issues.) The bonus with those other men is that they have defensible positions on those big issues on which Giuliani is disturbingly deficient.

Perhaps someone can explain to me why the Republican elites wish to extort our votes and how they can be so obtuse as to not realize why they can’t solicit contributions. I am thinking there is yet another phrase that these oh so knowledgable elites might want to become familiar with… COMMON SENSE!

Duncan Hunter offers a return to Reaganism

Duncan Hunter Offers a Return to Reaganism

With Duncan Hunter’s appearance on Glenn Beck tonight, Mr. Madison gives us an additional treat.

Alexander J. Madison - November 9, 2007

Most rock ribbed conservatives have been either very disappointed or simply bewildered by the GOP and its leaders since Ronald Wilson Reagan returned to his beloved California ranch in 1989. The cowboy boots he left have not been filled since that time. There is no doubt that Reagan is a giant among Presidents in our great nation’s history. Polls of serious historians and citizens alike usually place the Gipper in the top 5 or 10, out of the 43 commanders in chief we have had over 220 years in this Constitutional Republic. I personally put him in the top 3.

Of course, we have since had some genuinely high moments as conservatives. The election euphoria of Bush 41 and Bush 43 over some truly repugnant socialists, the 1994 Contract with America with its historical gains for Republicans in Congress, and lightning quick victory over Saddam in both Gulf Wars I & II. But something went missing along the way. That something is Reaganism.

Duncan Hunter on importance of Veteran’s Day

DUNCAN HUNTER HIGHLIGHTS IMPORTANCE OF VETERANS DAY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:  November 9, 2007

CONTACT:

Gary Becks  (619) 334-1655, dlhunter08@yahoo.com

San Diego, CA - - - Presidential candidate and current Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, Congressman Duncan Hunter, today made the following statement regarding Veterans Day.

“Veterans Day provides our nation the opportunity to reflect thankfully on the sacrifices of those who have served the cause of freedom.

“In the last century more than 619,000 Americans in uniform were killed on battlefields around the world protecting our nation and our way of life.

“We cannot thank them all sufficiently. It is beyond human capability to grasp the enormity of what they gave so the rest of us might enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We can, however, reflect on the unique quality of

America’s veterans and their service.

“From Bunker Hill to New Orleans, Gettysburg to San Juan Hill, Belleau Wood to Normandy, Chosin Reservoir to Khe San, Desert Storm to Kabul, Baghdad to Fallujah, American veterans have represented the finest of human qualities. “Greater love hath no man than he who lays down his life for another” is what the Bible tells us. Our veterans have made that sacrifice unflinchingly, with a character that General Douglas MacArthur described as “stainless.” They make the sacrifice for their comrades in arms, their “buddies” and the immediate mission at hand. But in a greater sense they have made the sacrifice for millions of Americans whom they do not know and who do not know them.

“And uniquely, American veterans have not brought subjugation to the nations they prevailed in, but rather brought freedom.  From the Philippines to Japan, to Germany, to El Salvador and Panama…

America has never coveted another nation, but has only asked that freedom be followed and that the institutions of freedom be established, often with American aid.

“All of us, secure in

America’s blessings can honor our veterans today. We can do this by thanking them personally, by involving ourselves in the many organizations that serve veterans and their families and, finally, we can follow their model of selflessness by helping our fellow citizens wherever we see a need.”

National Security Doesn’t Have To Trump Social Issues…

Just now on Fox News Sunday, Chris Wallace asked former President George H. W. Bush if national security trumps social issues in this, the first real election since 9/11/2001 (since George W. was running for re-election in 2004.) The former president said “I think so.”

To the uninformed, national security might trump social issues and the media and party talking heads are banking on a majority of people being uninformed. (Disclaimer: the word “uninformed” is not a statement of intelligence, it is a statement about attention and getting information from mainstream sources.)

The Republican Party voters do not have to decide between these issues. There is no reason to agonize over ranking national security versus an issue such as abortion. Rep. Duncan Hunter is running for the nomination. Not only is Duncan Hunter firmly pro-life, he is also tougher on national security than the elite designated front-runner!

Think about the facts regarding Duncan Hunter’s positions. Think about the actions he has taken on these issues. Please visit the “Core Principles” page on the Hunter for President web-site to see what has inspired me to become so active in this presidential campaign.

Duncan Hunter has co-sponsored or supported pro-life legislation such as:

The Human Cloning Prohibition Act of 2005

The Parent’s Right To Know Act of 2005

The Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act of 2006

Duncan Hunter has been proactive on national security:

He is the ranking Republican on the House Armed Services Committee.

He was an Army Ranger in Vietnam.

He opposes the SPP and China’s trade advantages.

He adamantly opposes amnesty for illegals.

He is the author of the law that would build “The Hunter Fence” on our Southern Border!

He successfully had a double fence built in San Diego.

When a concerned American gets the chance to listen to Duncan Hunter, he or she is often impressed and inspired. This is why so many common people, like me, believe we can make a difference. We can execute a real “Power To The People” (hat tip to Laura Ingraham) moment and elect the RIGHT person in 2008!
