I can’t believe we are importing abortions

I shouldn’t have been surprised to read that a state-owned Chinese company is the sole supplier of the abortion pill, RU-486. We seem to be continuously increasing our dependence on Chinese imports due to the trade advantages they possess. We hear outcries about tainted Chinese products and in fact the New York Times story linked to in the first sentence is about a contaminated cancer drug. Yet we continue to dismantle our arsenal of democracy in favor of China cheap.

Our media and political party leadership have led an apathetic electorate to the point at which the candidate that spoke clearly about the threat posed by China is no longer in the race. Congressman Duncan Hunter, the man who spoke on the subjects that conservatives would seem to naturally appreciate was disregarded in favor of media darlings and political tools that represent interests contrary to those of American citizens.

Are China’s population control policies in our future? Do we care? John McCain thinks global warming might be real and that we definitely need to do something about it. Some environmentalist nuts think that reducing the population would be the best way to preserve the eco system and Al Gore would tell us that carbon dioxide causes global warming. I guess it only makes sense that we should expect a woman who may be pregnant to pop a pill made in China to eliminate the potentially devastating result that would be the addition of another carbon dioxide exhaler upon the planet.

John McCain, The Wall Street Journal, The RNC leadership, Democrats, and open border advocates of all types should welcome the import of abortions. We live in a “global society” after all and the more American citizens that can be prevented from being born, the more the “need” for illegal alien workers can be espoused.

I say this is a win-win for all involved provided they are devoid of any sense or decency.

Collecting the rebates Americans won’t collect?

The day after conservatives and all citizens who respect United States sovereignty were dealt the blow of John McAmnesty’s win in the Florida Primary, the hits keep coming.

Apparently in their hurry to provide a bi-partisan stimulus bill, Nancy’s Ninnies (The U.S. House of Reps) may have allowed for illegals to collect rebates as part of the package.

From The Crypt at Politico.com :

[Excerpt]

The text of the House passed bill contains language making “non resident aliens” _ illegal immigrants _ ineligible for the tax rebates. But every year, hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants use individual taxpayer identification numbers, known as ITINs, to file income tax returns with the IRS. These ID numbers are used instead of Social Security numbers. There are no exact statistics for how many illegal immigrants file tax returns, but this New York Times story from last year details the significant increase in use of ITINs. This story also lays out the issue.

Immigration advocates point out that many legal immigrants use ITINs, so it would be impossible to tell who is legal and who is not from those who use these IDs. The Senate version of the bill would prohibit use of ITINs, meaning some legal immigrants would not receive rebates. [End Excerpt]

Wouldn’t it be nice if the bloated beast that is our federal government could at least have its tentacles working together? Mark Krikorian of The Center For Immigration Studies points out that cooperation between the IRS, SSA, and DHS would eliminate the problem of not knowing which tax filers were illegal aliens.

Maybe the issue could be resolved if the Florida election officials who allowed “independents” to pick a party for primary voting purposes and subsequently handing the win to John McAmnesty, were to do the same for the illegals that have filed with the IRS. All the illegal would need to do would be to choose between saying he is here legally or illegally and if he states that he is here legally, he gets the rebate. Simple enough. If it works for the Florida Primary, why not apply it here?

D.C. needs an enema!

A tale of two people who surely hope McCain wins Florida

I’ve read two news stories today that highlight individuals that would seem to be likely John McCain supporters. These two people are being persecuted by evil immigration enforcement agencies, seemingly hell-bent on enforcing immigration law… oh the humanity! So these two victims can only sit and wait to see who prevails in Florida and eventually who will prevail in November. If McCamnesty wins the Florida primary, these poor souls can be encouraged by the knowledge that he will have a good shot at his party’s nomination. They will rejoice knowing that amnesty awaits, either delivered by John McCain or by one of the candidates that admit to being Democrats.

Who are these would be McCainiacs?

The first is Flor Crisostomo, who is “picking up the torch” left by Elvira Arellano and seeking refuge in the same Chicago church that once provided sanctuary for the infamous scofflaw. Ms. Crisostomo can enjoy the status of heroine to the left while she waits to see which presidential candidate will come through with her amnesty.

The second victim is a fine, upstanding father of three who is a legal immigrant. Salvador Martinez has been arrested and now worries about his children. Why would the evil ICE arrest a man that had been in our country legally? Why would the vicious xenophobes want to see him deported? Perhaps it has something to do with his being convicted of oral copulation with a minor, who also happened to be his wife’s little sister.

So Florida, do your duty! Vote for John McCain. Illegal aliens everywhere are depending on you!

Dare not vote your conscience!

Imagine the scene is an Illinois Republican Party conference at a suburban Chicago hotel. A man walks up to one of the tables displaying campaign materials. This particular table is staffed by two Rudy Giuliani volunteers, each engaged in a cell phone conversation. As one of the volunteers closes his phone, the man picks up a brochure about “Team Rudy.”

Volunteer: “Have you signed one of our petitions yet?”

Man: “I don’t really know who I am supporting yet.”

Volunteer: “That’s ok, these are just to get Rudy on the ballot. There is no obligation to support him and you can sign petitions of multiple candidates.”

The man signs the petition and then asks: “What does Rudy think about ab…”

Before the man can finish his thought he is swarmed by an angry crowd of people screeching: “SINGLE ISSUE VOTER!!!” A well dressed lady kicks him in the shins and another hits him with her purse. A large man grabs his arms while someone else slaps him repeatedly with a stack of “Team Rudy” pamphlets.

Angry mob member 1: “How dare you vote based on a single issue?”

Angry mob member 2: “You just want Clinton to win!”

Angry mob member 3: “He was mayor of New York and he cut crime!”

Angry mob member 4: “You ignorant hicks shouldn’t even be allowed to vote!”

Angry mob member 1: “A president can’t do anything about abortion anyway!”

Angry mob member 3: “Clinton and Obama both like abortion more than Rudy does!”

Angry mob member 5: “Security! Security!”

Angry mob member 2: “Yeah Rudy is the only one that will give us security!”

Angry mob member 5: “No, I’m calling for security! We need to get this rabble rouser thrown out of here!”

Angry mob member 6: “It is absurd to not vote for who you are told over a single issue!” (He kicks the man in the groin just before security arrives to drag the beaten man from the hotel. The man is tossed into a waiting police car, where he is read his rights.)

As the police car pulls away from the hotel the man says to himself: “I just wanted to know what Giuliani thought about absentee ballots.”

The preceding scenario did not really happen, but it seems to me that many Republicans (especially Giuliani supporters) get nearly hysterical when it seems that someone may consider abortion or a candidate’s personal character when deciding who will receive his or her vote. Any mention of abortion is likely to elicit accusations of ignorance or of casting a vote for Hillary by default.

Abortion must be an important issue to be the one that garners the dreaded “single issue” label. Taxes, the war, the border, the economy, China, amnesty, socialized medicine, global warming, global cooling, earmarks, steroids in baseball, which channel NFL games are on, and any other issue, real or imagined all fail to inspire the “single issue” wrath. The only issue that is deemed important enough to stand alone as the “single issue” is the only one that is not to be considered when deciding for whom one will or will not vote. Wait, that isn’t entirely true, we are also not allowed to consider personal character indicators such as taxpayer funded adultery.

How low must we go before we are allowed to decide for ourselves? How much farther must we travel in the direction of increased governmental control and eventual socialism before we can voice our true opinions? How much thought control will be too much before we are allowed to exercise judgment?

I guess until we have had enough, we will be accused of being sophomoric if we express our disgust with our party in ways that our party would not approve. So be it. For those of you that think it is childish to vote one’s conscience I can only so:

“Nanny nanny boo boo, I may not vote the way you do!”

Peace Through Strength!

Yesterday brought an end to the candidacy of the man I considered to be the perfect candidate (or at least very close to it!) I don’t mean to imply that Rep. Duncan Hunter was a perfect candidate to get noticed in today’s pornified, self-indulgent, commercialized, apathetic society. Certainly his message wasn’t going to reach those who depend on traditional media outlets for their information and it became clear that many conservative outlets were little more than elite Republican outlets.

I do, however, mean to imply that Duncan Hunter stands for the conservative values that are important to concerned citizens that believe in a strong nation composed of independent people. In addition to his outstanding pro-life record and his demonstrated leadership on securing our border, he stands for U.S. sovereignty and rebuilding our arsenal of democracy. He stands for “Peace Through Strength!”

Peace Through Strength

Apparently winning is all that matters…

In presidential politics there is nothing more important than victory for a political party. Citizens with concerns, opinions, and ideas should shut up and vote. When they vote, the candidate that has been anointed by the media as the party’s front-runner should receive the votes without thought given to his or her demonstrated positions.

From the web site of The Illinois Republican Party(www.Weareillinois.org):

John Kass

Chicago Tribune Editorial

Why do establishment Republicans insist on whomping John McCain against a pole like some rabid cat?

Especially the conservatives. They’re whomping him and whomping him, metaphorically in South Carolina, pivoting, turning on their heels, shrieking with a mixture of hysteria, panic and glee.

Read the rest here. {End excerpt}

There you have it! Republicans should behave like good little followers and support anyone with an R behind his name if he is dubbed the chosen one, or if as the case seems to be with McAmnesty, it is deemed to be “his turn.”

Some positions can be granted based on the notion of “his turn:”

***Hall monitor.

***Paper collector.

***Line leader.

***Next on the slide.

***Next on any amusement park ride.

***Grand Poobah at the lodge.

I don’t think the position of President of The United States of America is one of those “his turn” positions! I don’t believe it is John McAmnesty’s turn any more than I believe it is Hillary Clinton’s turn.

Of course Mr. Kass isn’t advocating for McAmnesty based on the notion that it is his turn. Mr. Kass would have you vote based on the idea that he has an R behind his name and is viewed as a front-runner. That is nice and simple, positions on issues be damned, we must win! What if we don’t win in reality? What if issues do matter? Wouldn’t that put a kink in Mr. Kass’ rope?

The voters may indeed place John McCain on the November 2008 ballot to be the next Bob Dole. What the voters want, the voters will get. The voters may indeed express outrage over the McCain-Kennedy amnesty plan and cast their votes for McCain anyway. The voters may indeed disagree with McCain-Feingold and cast their votes for him anyway. The voters will get what they vote for.

I don’t want to disregard the other candidates here, as there are two others that might even be worse than McCain. A November Ballot headed by McCain, Huckabee, or Giuliani will in my opinion mean a defeat for conservatives no matter who wins the election.

Illegal Alien Serial Rapist of Teenage Girls Arrested

Why was Santana Batiz Acevez in the United States of America? Foxnews.com has an article on this beast and his arrest. This man raped four girls, ages 12 to 15 after being deported twice!

Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards, John McCain, Mike Huckabee, and Rudy Giuliani can all rest easy since the twice deported Acevez was able to rent a house in close proximity to two junior high schools. The awful xenophobes weren’t able to trample this poor serial rapist’s civil rights and ascertain his immigration status before allowing him to rent.

Hillary says there is no illegal woman. What is her opinion regarding the legality of of serial rapists of young girls? Is the beast Acevez a victim of our broken immigration system? I bet if he had not been confined to “the shadows” doing jobs Americans wouldn’t do and fearing the evil ICE agents, he would never have been compelled to rape even one of the four young girls he so viscously attacked.

How do the parents of these girls feel about their very own senator, John McAmnesty fighting so hard on behalf people like Acevez? This is not an exaggeration, McCain led the fight for amnesty and instant legal status of anyone that applied. His enforcement involved allowing 24 hours to do background checks. John McCain and his supporters would likely say that he would never fight on behalf of a serial rapist and they would be only partially right. Serial rapists, murderers, drug dealers, and gain members are included in McAmnesty’s plan as collateral damage to our nation and its citizens.

Democrats and some Republicans (McAmnesty, Rudy “Sanctuary City” Clintiani, and Mike “In-state Tuition” Huckabee) are either soft on border security or talk tough and hope no one considers their past actions. Illegal immigration is a big issue and yet these candidates continue to lead the pack. Do we really care who is in our nation? Do we really care who lives near our children’s schools? Do we really care who has free reign over our roads?

I would suggest we wake up and stop listening to the Geraldo Rivera (Jerry Rivers) and Linda Chavez line of verbal sewage. I suggest we ignore the Wall Street Journal and insulated elites when they insist we need comprehensive immigration reform… just not enforcement. I suggest we insist that Congress funds the building of The Hunter Fence.

I suggest we pay attention to the past and positions of the people that ask for our votes. I suggest we elect Duncan Hunter, whose record and stance is clear.

Maybe we can trade for Hugo Chavez

The International Herald Tribune has an article about Venezuala’s Hugo Chavez threatening to seize property from businesses caught hoarding products. Food shortages, price controls, high inflation, and nationalized businesses all lead me to wonder if we could work out a trade with Venezuala. What would it take to convince them to give the American voters what we want?

Would a package including the front running big government candidate from each party and $20 billion dollars be enough? I realize that a Huckabee-Clinton or Obama-McCain combination isn’t very attractive to a country that has advanced the big government socialism movement beyond what these four have been able to accomplish so that is where the money comes in. $20 billion is just a starting point for negotiations. Money is no object as anyone who advocates universal health care will tell you, there is an endless supply of tax revenue just waiting to be accessed. Certainly the American voter would welcome an increased tax burden if it could get us the government control we so deeply desire.

Our needs will be met, at least until the shortages start, but hey no system is perfect. What more could we ask for? We could do our part to live up to the ideals set forth by Karl Marx . We don’t need incentives to create, innovate, or invent, we will give according to our ability and we will get according to our need (at least until the shortages start as a result of the lack of incentive to produce.)

I think we might be on to something given the the commonly accepted fact that government can do anything better than private citizens or companies. We already have our own examples to draw from:

***The Department of Education

***The U.S. Postal Service

***The Internal Revenue Service

***The Central Intelligence Agency

***The Professional Sports Investigative Service (formerly known as Congress)

Yes, we have proof of the efficiency of bureaucracy. We just need the little nudge of a great leader to help us find Utopia. If we can’t work out a trade, can we at least pass a resolution stating that we will parrot every move made by the government of Venezuala? Surely most Democrats and big government RINOs would see the value in this plan!

God help us. That is while we can still mention God without threat of fines or incarceration.

McCain Misleads Michigan

John McCamnesty was in Michigan Wednesday pumping up cheering crowds and making a dishonest pitch for their votes in the upcoming primary.

From The Detroit News via WeAreIllinois.com :

[Excerpt] McCain, known for his war-hero reputation and his advocacy for the Iraq war, made a different pitch Wednesday, aimed at the state’s economic distress.

“I know how difficult the economy is here in Michigan,” he told the rally. “I’ve got to look you in the eye and tell you some of those jobs aren’t coming back. But I’m here to look you in the eye and tell you that we are a nation that doesn’t leave our people behind. We’ve got to help these people with retraining and education and get them jobs and give them a future. I will help this state and I will make it my highest priority.”

McCain touted his plans to revamp federal job training programs by focusing on community colleges, and a proposal to partially reimburse workers for the wage decline they see when they lose high-paying manufacturing jobs. [End Excerpt]

I don’t know which is more ridiculous, McAmnesty campaigning about American jobs, or the people who believe him! Let me be the first to point out that there was a little disagreement a few months ago between McAmnesty and American citizens that respect our sovereignty and want to keep our jobs. Apparently the working people of Michigan hadn’t heard about the McAmnesty-Kennedy Comprehensive Immigration Reform plan.

The type of thinking that enables a person to believe that American jobs will be McAmnesty’s top priority is the equivalent to the type of thinking that allows people to vote for Hillary Clinton.

Voters obviously don’t value substance. That is becoming more clear with every passing day. I hope the people that choose our next leader assign themselves the blame for his or her actions or lack of actions. Ignore sense and substance… we’ll get we ask for.

New Hampshire independents say yes to amnesty and no to free speech…

McCain wins New Hampshire!

I’m sure there will be varying opinions on the meaning of this victory by the self and media proclaimed “comeback kid.” I wonder how many of those opinions will include the fact that in New Hampshire, independents are allowed to skew the primary results.

Senator McCain hasn’t been this excited since he and Ted Kennedy thought their amnesty plan could be unleashed on an unsuspecting populace. Maybe Teddy is raising a glass to his old pal as I type. I just hope he isn’t driving while toasting his liberal ally from across the aisle. If McCain pulls off the “comeback” and wins the presidency perhaps Kennedy would be named Secretary of Road to Water Transportation.

Another fellow liberal senator who is probably enjoying the moment is Russ Fiengold, who joined McCain in ensuring that MoveOn.org and the like have a distinct advantage in the campaigning process. A right to life group can’t put out an ad within 60 days of an election. A common person is limited to $2300 in contributions per cycle. The saving grace however, is the fact that 527s run by people like George Soros can do what they like.

John McCain’s military service and what he endured for our nation as a prisoner of war is admirable and greatly appreciated. His service and his senate tenure do not automatically make him a reasonable choice for president. Some might even argue that he isn’t a good choice for Senator. (Of course I live in Illinois, land of Durbin and Obama, so McCain would be a slight improvement over my senators.)

It strikes me as interesting that both Iowa and New Hampshire Republican primary or caucus voters chose liberal Republicans that are weak to awful on illegal immigration and have the potential to continue the tradition of growing government. Iowa said “give us the pro-life liberal Republican” and New Hampshire said “we’ll take the pro-life liberal Republican who has been more proactive in encouraging illegal immigration.”

I wonder what Rullary Clintiani thinks of the decisions made by the Iowa Republicans and the New Hampshire “independents?” The man who told Phil Donahue in a 1989 interview that he would pay to have his grandchild aborted (”I’d give my daughter money for it.” discussing abortion) must be smiling. The man who had New York taxpayers provide security and transportation for his mistress is getting just what he needs as these early states give the nod to two different liberals over the best choice, Congressman Duncan Hunter and the acceptable choices of Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson.

I would call Ron Paul acceptable or even give him second billing if I didn’t keep hearing him discuss the war in such a rabid manner. If I wasn’t afraid that Congressman Paul’s foreign policy wouldn’t protect our interests I would give him a good hard look. Everything I’ve heard him say on domestic issues made me want to cheer.

Is the notion of the media not selecting our leadership unattainable? Do we live in an era in which most people are distracted by so many other things that they don’t look into the candidates beyond what is readily available in the mainstream media? I realize that most people probably aren’t political junkies, but I still have a hard time understanding why a person wouldn’t want to know for whom he or she was voting, especially for the highest office in the land. Perhaps the system is working as it should. An apathetic electorate will get what we vote for, even if we are voting for less than clear reasons.
