Maybe we can trade for Hugo Chavez

Published by Sam Pierce at 3:46 pm under General Common Sense, Politics

The International Herald Tribune has an article about Venezuala’s Hugo Chavez threatening to seize property from businesses caught hoarding products. Food shortages, price controls, high inflation, and nationalized businesses all lead me to wonder if we could work out a trade with Venezuala. What would it take to convince them to give the American voters what we want?

Would a package including the front running big government candidate from each party and $20 billion dollars be enough? I realize that a Huckabee-Clinton or Obama-McCain combination isn’t very attractive to a country that has advanced the big government socialism movement beyond what these four have been able to accomplish so that is where the money comes in. $20 billion is just a starting point for negotiations. Money is no object as anyone who advocates universal health care will tell you, there is an endless supply of tax revenue just waiting to be accessed. Certainly the American voter would welcome an increased tax burden if it could get us the government control we so deeply desire.

Our needs will be met, at least until the shortages start, but hey no system is perfect. What more could we ask for? We could do our part to live up to the ideals set forth by Karl Marx . We don’t need incentives to create, innovate, or invent, we will give according to our ability and we will get according to our need (at least until the shortages start as a result of the lack of incentive to produce.)

I think we might be on to something given the the commonly accepted fact that government can do anything better than private citizens or companies. We already have our own examples to draw from:

***The Department of Education

***The U.S. Postal Service

***The Internal Revenue Service

***The Central Intelligence Agency

***The Professional Sports Investigative Service (formerly known as Congress)

Yes, we have proof of the efficiency of bureaucracy. We just need the little nudge of a great leader to help us find Utopia. If we can’t work out a trade, can we at least pass a resolution stating that we will parrot every move made by the government of Venezuala? Surely most Democrats and big government RINOs would see the value in this plan!

God help us. That is while we can still mention God without threat of fines or incarceration.

If the Globalist Elitist Crowd continues to control our politics, we will automatically have Hugo Chavez in our Gov’t. They are working hard to create the North American Union, but they don’t say much about the fact that it actually includes Sout America too. Go Hunter for 08.
