A sad society
I saw a headline about a transgendered third grader on Drudge and my heart sank. I clicked the link apprehensively and read the story. It turns out that the child is a second grader (not third) that is going to return to the school he once attended, but now as a girl.
This is where we are as a society. The moral relativism that meshes with the creeping political correctness plague has made it possible for children to be put in this position. Nothing is ever wrong. No feeling is ever abnormal. Whatever one thinks is his personal truth, no one can dispute. Nature does not exist (except when we can claim it is being destroyed by man.)
What if this child is transgendered as a result of “hip, cutting edge” parents who saw some sign of femininity in their son and nurtured the idea that he was born the wrong gender? I obviously don’t know if that is the case here, but I believe such things do happen. Regardless of the cause for this child believing he should be a girl, he is now going to be the center of attention at the elementary school to which he is returning. I have a hard time seeing how this can be good for this child. Will the looks he receives not bother him? Are 7 and 8 year olds in this particular part of the world so mature and understanding that teasing won’t be an issue?
There is also reason to be concerned about the mental and emotional well-being of the other students at this school. Subjecting 7 and 8 year old children to gender identity issues is despicable. I could not say if this society is more sick or sad. A society in which the perceived need of one child to be recognized as a girl (when he is a boy) is given precedence over the need of every other child in that school to have a normal childhood is not one to be proud of. I assume the counselor, administrators, and transgender groups that are working to make this happen are not considering the loss of innocence they will be inflicting upon their students.
I thank God my wife home schools our children! I can’t imagine sending them to an institution that would teach them to question their gender, which will be a likely consequence of this disturbing situation.
Worthless parents this boy has. Boy, I wouldn’t want to be them on judgment day.
The thing is, the parents likely thrust this upon their child!
Oh, you know they did! Sacrifice the well being of your own child to make a libtard point? Shame. Nothing like intentionally screwing up your kid’s life. I honestly believe these parents know in their heart of hearts what they are doing is wrong, but they just do not care.
Is this not contributing to the delinquency of a minor? I suppose if the kid wanted to commit suicide or mass murder, that would be ok with the parents and the gov’t too, huh?
To me this is a shining example of the work of the people at the top of our gov’t. You know what rolls down hill. It all starts at the top. A sad example of what the leaders in our society have let this country degenerate into. This type of condition has led to the extinction of great civilizations before, so I guess history is repeating itself. I’ve always said that when you get to the top and you want change, there’s nowhere to go but down. I guess our country got to the top and the people got bored so they decided they needed change. Too bad. Right now it looks like more of that so called change is on it’s way. In simple words, Parents need to do everything possible to help their children learn how to THINK right. I agree BA1944. It all goes back to that slippery slope of homosexuality. The LGBT gang of perverts are not happy keeping their private lives private. I believe wholeheartedly that crap is wrong (as is heterosexual adultery and fornication). However, I really don’t care what consenting adult perverts do in the privacy of their own homes. Now, it is no longer good enough just to ignore this garbage, but we are to agree with it and even promote it or we labeled are homophobic. So, with this becoming the social norm, it is bound to affect innocent children. Before long, parents will be charged with hate crimes if they teach their children that homosexuality is wrong.
