14 year goes to dance with child molester… where were the parents?
The story at FOXNews.com doesn’t give a clear picture of how a 14 year old girl ended up being escorted to a middle school dance by a convicted child molester. The little information given tells us that a 25 year old male, (he is not a man) Gregory Ray Brooks posed as a 17 year old and took a 14 year old to her school dance. Fortunately the school faculty at the door questioned the foul piece of trash as to his age.
Excerpt:
“He didn’t look like the 17-year-old he said he was,” Bridges said. “The faculty did an excellent job of monitoring who was coming in and catching this guy. They kept him from other students and maybe helped this young lady out of a bad situation.”
Police Capt. Marty Bruce said Brooks was convicted in Limestone County in May 2004 for first-degree sodomy on an 8-year-old victim.
In his arrest Friday, Brooks was charged with public intoxication and failure to comply with the community notification act by loitering on school property. He remained in the Limestone County Jail on $500 bond for the public intoxication charge and $5,000 bond on the community notification charge.
Bruce said Tuesday he did not know if Brooks had a lawyer.
Police said the teen did not know he was a sex offender and her mother came to get her at the dance.
There are so many issues and questions when something like this happens. The only mention of the girls parents was that her mother came to get her at the dance. What kind of parent or parents would allow their 14 year old daughter to go out with a 17 year old boy? What kind of parent would either not notice how old the boy appears to be or doesn’t bother to meet the boy that is going out with his or her daughter? The parents in this situation deserve a ton of scrutiny unless of course the girl lied about where she was going and with whom.
Another item that isn’t addressed is the fact that this disgusting scumbag raped an 8 year old and was roaming free to repeat his offense. Who can see this story and give a credible defense of our system of “justice?” This societal cancer should have been locked away permanently at a minimum! Castration followed by execution would have been appropriate following his first offense. Had this happened this 14 year old girl might not have been allowed into such a dangerous situation by her apparently grossly negligent parent(s).
The biggest question is, given the criminal “justice” system that favors the guilty (or as Hillary views them, “potential voters”) how young will Brooks’ next victim be?
