Chicago Slimeball In Chief Goes to Bat for B.O. and His Terrorist Pal
I think it is a good idea to know what the enemy is saying, so I occasionally go to sites like The Huffington Post. Inevitably I read something at HuffPo that makes my blood boil and am actually shocked that I have yet to see Terrorist Bill Ayers blogging there. (He may be and I have just missed it.) Never fear though, the peace loving terrorist is sharing his thoughts on his own blog. As a person might not be able to resist looking at the aftermath of a horrendous car wreck, I can’t resist going to the terrorist’s site to read what verbal fecal matter he types.
So this morning I checked to see if the terrorist had actually let one of my comments out of moderation and saw a new post which proudly proclaimed: “Mayor Daley Speaks Out.” You see Mayor Daley of course doesn’t condone Ayers actions of 40 years ago, but hey “times were difficult” so everyone should apparently just shut the hell up about it.
I also know Bill Ayers. He worked with me in shaping our now nationally-renowned school reform program. He is a nationally-recognized distinguished professor of education at the University of Illinois/Chicago and a valued member of the Chicago community.
I don’t condone what he did 40 years ago but I remember that period well. It was a difficult time, but those days are long over. I believe we have too many challenges in Chicago and our country to keep re-fighting 40 year old battles.
I for one am deeply moved by Governor Blagojevich’s boss and his heartfelt tribute to Chicago’s current citizen of the month. Actually it is not just Chicago that has benefited from the work of the unpunished terrorist as reported in The Chicago Tribune on April 17 Mayor Daley says the whole world owes Ayers a debt of gratitude:
“Bill has contributed heavily to the quality of life not only in the city but in the entire world as well,” Daley said.
I wonder if the same holds true for every peace loving terrorist that uses violence and bombings to protest… well violence and bombings or is it just the terrorists that never pay for their crimes that end up benefiting the entire world. What does it say about many of this nation’s colleges and university that despicable members of groups such as The Weather Underground populate their teaching positions? I guess it doesn’t really say any more than what we’ve come to expect from our illustrious institutions of higher indoctrination. The Washington Post has puff piece honoring four “1968 Protesters,” one of which was also member of The Weather Underground and a retired college professor.
Somewhere in Chicago, Bill Ayers is probably enjoying a quiet Sunday morning and giving thanks for the candidacy (and idiocy) of Barack Obama and the spotlight it has given him. Perhaps he may be planning a reunion of Vietnam War protesting domestic terrorists. If so maybe in honor of old times, they will blow themselves up.
