Some TRUTH about Abortion:

Abortion Is Four Times Deadlier
Than Childbirth. New Studies Unmask High Maternal Death Rates From Abortion
http://www.afterabortion.org/PAR/V8/n2/finland.html

Some Statistics

Half of all pregnancies to American women are unintended; four in 10 of these end in abortion.

About half of American women have experienced an unintended pregnancy, and at current rates more than one-third (35%) will have had an abortion by age 45.

Overall unintended pregnancy rates have stagnated over the past decade, yet unintended pregnancy increased by 29% among poor women while decreasing 20% among higher-income women.

In 2002, 1.29 million abortions occurred, down from 1.36 million abortions in 1996.

Nine in 10 abortions occur in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

A broad cross section of U.S. women have abortions:
56% of women having abortions are in their 20s;
61% have one or more children;
67% have never married;
57% are economically disadvantaged;
88% live in a metropolitan area; and
78% report a religious affiliation.

I'm coming out completely on the other side on this issue. I'm pro choice! There, I said it. If you don't want to have a child, you should always have the choice of (1) remaining abstinent, or (2) using some form of birth control.

If you don't choose one of those options, well, you kind of chose already, didn't you?

Ok, maybe I'm not exactly on the other side of this issue...

I read this through my RSS service and couldn't figure out how you got such a long post for not having time; I decided to come to the actual post to commend you on expressing your thoughts so clearly, then I saw the blockquote and figured out how you got the long post.

At any rate, excellently, gold-star, top notch, four-star, A+, well-written article!

The pro-aborts are quite full of inconsistency in their opinions. I call them pro-aborts because that seems to be the only choice they encourage.

I've seen images from modern 3D ultrasounds and the technology that God has blessed this nation with is incredible. Unfortunately it all too often gets used to consider abortion (Down Syndrome screening, designer babies, etc...) May God have mercy on our nation long enough for us to repent of our apathy towards the unborn.
