As far as I know, Target doesn't refuse to sell the morning after pills, but they don't force their pharmacists to sell it either. In other words, if the pharmacist doesn't have a moral problem selling the pill, Target lets them and if they do, Target doesn't make them. Not the best stance, in my opinion, but obviously better than forcing your pharmacists to sell something they morally disagree with.

Why does target refuse to sell morning after pills? I didn't even know they took that stance.

I can't help feeling, in my feminist soul, that women's bodies and psyches are being exploited to make billions of dollars for pharmaceutical companies, and, of course, the abortion industry. (The ready availability of Plan B does not decrease pregnancies, but this must be great advertising for Planned Parenthood.)

I'm not a fan of having our bodies, psyches, and morals be commandeered in the name of big business. I mean, who are these people - Republicans? ;)

The free-market capitalist in me would prefer more diversity in the choices that pharmacists and stores make to stock this drug; if people don't care for that particular decision, they can patronise other businesses. This notion, however, of ensuring that the world patterns itself upon one's particular viewpoint is simply ridiculous.
