Yesterday, the Georgia Senate approved a bill adding an ultrasound component to existing informed consent requirements in the Woman’s Right to Know Act.
When the bill was voted on in the Georgia House, I thought Representative James Mills made the best argument:
“If all of us — no matter where we’re at — if we hate to see an abortion take place no matter what, why not support a bill that gives a woman all the facts before she makes such a critical decision?”
If the pro-choice crowd wants to claim that they hate abortion (hello Hillary? Rudy?) then they should want women to be fully informed about the “procedure” they will be going through. Doesn’t seem like too much to ask, to me.
As a side note that isn’t really a side note, it always entertains me when pro-aborts cry foul about laws like this or laws requiring parental notification and say, “Don’t you see? This law isn’t about informed consent! This isn’t about parental notification! This is about outlawing abortion completely!” Oh, no! You caught us. We are pro-life and we want to stop abortion. Surprise!

Good point — that’s always cracked me up too when the pro-abort crowd accuses us of working towards outlawing abortion completely. I guess that’s where we get the label “pro-life”.
As Ann Coulter pointed out, Mama Alito smoked out “pro-choicers.” When asked if her son approved abortion, she said, “Of course he’s against abortion!” That apparently triggered hysteria among those who are not at all opposed to abortion.
Hey, if we need to patronise women into abortions by pretending that their little brains will be filled with nesty hormones upon seeing a foetus, maybe we should repeal the Nineteenth Amendment.
I made you a new banner, Ms. Wyoming! Feel free to use it, but it’s decidedly anti-okra, so I’ll understand if you choose to pass on it.
Hahaha, thanks Kevin. It’s a great banner and I totally would have used it if it weren’t for the shockingly intolerant anti-okra message.
Oh Kevin, you are pushing the envelope with that anti-okra propaganda. Don’t be so extreme — I could understand this type of hate directed at, let’s say, the liver food group
