Well, Fox says: Congressman Foils Pickpocket in Washington, D.C., but I personally believe that the old guy was ready to kick some butt if need be.
WASHINGTON — A New Jersey Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen refused to accept the outcome of an alleged mugging on Thursday night when he foiled a pickpocket attempt in Georgetown.
The incident occurred as Frelinghuysen was walking near his D.C. residence around 9:30 p.m. ET. Police say the 61-year-old congressman was approached by a group of young men when he felt someone grab his wallet from behind.
The seven-term Republican ran after the young suspect just as two Metropolitan Police officers were driving by. They helped apprehend the suspect nearby. The search is still continuing for at least one other suspect.
Frelinghuysen, who represents the Morris County, N.J., area was not injured in the incident.

Good for him.

AWESOME!

A Dem would have handed the guy his wallet and then introduced a bill to compensate pick-pocket victims and to discourage pick-pocketing by giving subsidies to potential pick-pocketers.
AWESOME Theo. Great comment. Couldn’t have said it better myself.
