MZ, I hope Sen. Thomas’ class of politicians isn’t a dying breed as well, especially within Wyoming. He really cared about Wyoming and not the fame and drama of the hill. And thanks for the compliment. Haha. That’s what I call my “really excited but trying to contain it” face.
And yes, mom, even though I thought at the time that meeting Senator Thomas was a fun privilege, I never realized until now exactly what an honor it was.

Scott, it was incredible to meet with him in person. He was the only one of the three that was available to actually meet with that day (rather than an aide). He was very attentive to what we were saying, asked questions about a lot of things, and was just friendly and personable overall. He had to leave our meeting a little early in order to vote, but when I asked if I could get a quick picture, he didn’t even hesitate to say yes. He will be greatly missed across the state.

I’m so glad you had the opportunity in the spring to visit with Senator Thomas. I was really praying that he’d beat that cancer. Wasn’t he something? I mean, he kept right on working through most of this battle. Simply amazing character.
