She ripped open a bag of carrots, put one into his back, and told him to get out of her way, NOW. He freaked out, backed off, and turned around. That could be true if she had already put quite a bit in her own car. Either way, that makes the robber all the less intelligent for not thinking of that. On one of our two trips back from Nebraska a few weeks ago, we were fueling up and the pump would go no higher than $50. Therefore, we had to swipe the card again and have another go at it. Great fun I tell you. Strange thing was, the other places we stopped didn't bat an eye at putting $75 in the ol' tank. Now $15 .... that wouldn't get you far even in a green car ;) True story Bridget. For example, many cards are authorised up to $50 or $75 per approval, so if she put $35 (or about 10-12 gallons) into her tank, there would only be $15 left over. $15 in an SUV gets you about 50 miles.
