Wow. I love your response TKR! NC's seem to be the old world repackaged I think. They are really missing out on the amazing life that Christ has for His followers.

I’m with you completely on abortion and Christianity. I have a bumper sticker (not on my car, since I don’t have a car :)) that reads “You can’t be Christian and be pro-choice.”

Well, you can, but you aren't being consistent. Oddly, if you follow Biblical teachings, you would only need an abortion in cases of dire medical danger. Funny how following one set of rules prevents all sorts of other problems.....

Interesting. You took "New Christian's" feelings (which is purely what they were) and thought through them. Then you wanted to express your feelings in response to NC. You did so, but they were all tied back to the Bible. Something shockingly lacking from New Christian's rant.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17 Webster)

Sam - Thanks for stopping by. I'm with you completely on abortion and Christianity. I have a bumper sticker (not on my car, since I don't have a car :)) that reads "You can't be Christian and be pro-choice."

Mom - Love the Wizard of Oz reference.

Bridget - I'm with you on that too. I don't understand when people claim to believe in something, then only go halfway.

Ya know, one of the reasons that I stopped being Catholic is that I did not (and still do not) agree with their doctrines.

If you don't agree with Christian doctrine, then stop calling yourself Christian. It's like being a "vegetarian" who eats fish and chicken.
