Mexico isn't going to turn into a capitalistic, peace-loving, prosperous, drug-free, quiet neighbour if we don't prosecute the homicidal maniacs they export. If your next-door neighbour allowed their kid to go into your yard and kick your dog, you would be pretty pissed at the kid and the neighbour. You wouldn't be extra-super nice because the neighbour has a houseful of kids that run amok around the street and kick dogs: you would want your dogs safe, in your yard. Sigh. Oy vey. Personally, I don't blame Mr. Ertman one bit! What these families have endured is unimaginable and our justice department is pouring salt in their wounds... apparently to please Mexico.
