Vice President Condi?

From the Political Radar, an ABC News blog:

Dan Senor: Condoleezza Rice is Pursuing the VP Spot

“Condi Rice has been actively, actually in recent weeks, campaigning for this,” Senor said this morning on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.”

According to Senor, Rice has been cozying up to the Republican elite.

Senor explained that Rice’s history in public office would make her a prime candidate, especially in light of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain’s emphasis on experience throughout his campaign.

I’ve never trusted McCain and I’m still leaning strongly toward voting for the Constitution Party this fall. As nice as Condi Rice is (with stellar taste in shoes), she’s made it clear that she is pro-abortion — not zealously, but “mildly” so nonetheless. McCain is already wishy-washy enough on issues that matter to social conservatives.

This would be the final nail in the McCain ‘08 coffin, as far as I’m concerned.

Here’s hoping it’s just rumors.

Could you do a post on the Constitution Party? I’ve already promised so many people that I would not be voting for McCain that I would immediately earn the title, “HUGE LIAR” upon flipping the lever.

The Constitution Party has a nice ring to it though. They’re not crazy people like the Libertarian party, are they?

If Condi is the choice, that would seal the deal for me… I am already leaning away from McAmnesty (-Feingold, Kennedy, Edwards, etc) but a veep like Rice would have me even more seriously considering the Constitution Party.

    From NewsMax.com:

“I don’t know how many ways she can say no,” said State Department spokesman Sean McCormack of reports that Rice is actively campaigning to join the Arizona senator’s ticket.

“She has got to finish up her work as secretary of state and then head back out West … to go to Stanford. Remember, she is still a tenured professor at Stanford and only on leave from Stanford. She fully intends to go back,” he added.
