A. If the Palin for VP rumors are untruths, I will be extraordinarily upset.
B. If the Palin for VP rumors are truths, WAY TO GO MCCAIN!
I am sure my sudden burst of appreciation for McCain will fade with time, but I am so impressed that he has actually listened to the conservative base and picked a strong conservative for his vice presidential candidate. I can now vote full heartedly for McCain in November and honestly encourage my friends to do the same — as opposed to the mumbled grumbling I’ve been doing lately.
Today, McCain gets a gold star sticker and a cookie.
UPDATE: I just watched Gov. Palin’s speech on FoxNews and I have to confess that I had tears in my eyes the entire time. The combination of relief — after having names like Lieberman and Ridge thrown around — and pride was simply overwhelming.

This is just awesome. Best political news in years. She is so good on so many levels.
I’m loving watching the Obama guys criticize it as a bad pick. It’s like, hey guys, put on the polygraphs and tell me that again. I’m skeptical.
Some guy on another blog was just insisting that pro-lifers were “foundationally” misogynystic. I wonder if that applies to Palin, and I wonder if it still applies to me since I support her?
Amen! Romney would have been ok too (with me at least), but Palin is the best pick possible outside of Bobby Jindal. And us Louisanans are not ready to share him just yet.
It’s so wonderful to have a reason to vote again!

Palin was one of the few picks that could inspire me to support a McCain ticket. I am still surprised and elated he went through with it!

Brilliant!! I love her.
The two of them can put together a reformer/maverick platform - to be the change that Obama just rhapsodises about.
Historic. Amazing. The liberals are crying in their coffee this morning. It’s morning in America.
I love her! I’m still stunned that he went with her, but I am sooooo thankful that he reached out to conservatives on this one. With this move, the race now becomes his to lose. McCain/Palin ‘08!

I, too, am overjoyed with this pick for Vice President. Of course, I don’t vote based on gender or race, but it is an added bonus that Palin is female. Very inspiring. Kudos to McCain for the smartest decision made throughout this entire campaign.
Those libtards are some mean son of a guns, but I’m certain Governor Palin knows just what to expect from them and will handle herself just smashingly.
