Note to the MSM: Don’t hunt barracuda when you can only handle goldfish

The media, which had been doing their best impersonation of vultures circling road kill before Wednesday night, are now acting like a 10-year-old girl whose pigtails were pulled during recess… after she kicked and bit her classmates.

Liberals theorise that Palin’s knocks against “community organisers” have racist undertones.  (H/T: Patterico.)  No, folks, it’s just the job that Barack Obama highlights as something that readies him to be commander-in-chief of the United States.  If his job were yacht-racing, we would laugh at that, too.

Palin’s speech didn’t move undecided or Democrat women voters… if you listen to “focus groups”… right after the polls… and ask them if they’ve happened to change their mind in the past nanosecond.

When Republicans mention that the media went for blood, liberals say: who, us?  Nah, you’re making it up!  It would appear as if the MSM is calling the Clinton camp liars.  Oh, the GOPs are “whining” about the unholy ration of garbage heaped upon their lady.

More from Patterico: male presidential candidate uses females for cynical partisan benefit:

And did I just read that Obama is going to fight all of this energy and electricity [of Palin’s speech] by . . . hiding behind some womens’ skirts?

What a wussy. Sarah Palin would man up better than that. Far better.

Althouse has more on the title change of the NYT article, and Obama’s FemBot army of Palinators. Is is just me, or does “female surrogates” make it sound like Obama is conducting some sort of genetic experiment?

Prof. Jim Lindgren criticises reporters for calling Palin “sarcastic.”  He compares her snipes with those of Obama and finds that Obama to be more sarcastic.

Compared to other criticisms, “sarcastic” sounds like actual political commentary.  The Boston Herald sez Palin’s hair is passe. The New Republic, in a stunning example of feminist reporting, analyses Sarah Palin’s clothes.  Hair and clothes - those are hard-hitting issues facing our nation today!

I have linked to your post from Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Tom Brokaw and others twinge … which is still a growing post as I link to reactions from people in the media.

Seems like if someone who is a virtual unkown and then suddenly a nominee for the number two position in the nation, it’s no big surprise that they are digging up everything they can on her…and you have to admit…the facts that you find in Alask politics don’t track the same as other places.

They are finding a whole bunch of things that don’t seem to add up if you dont know anything about rural politics and society.

Having grown up in a small town, some of this stuff doesn’t seem as strange and suspicious to me as it does to them.

    Wayne,

    Thank you for the linkage!

    Teresa,

Agree about small-town politics, but I think this is more than that. Last Sunday, the media declared was, serious War, against Sarah Palin and her family.

    AWJHR,

Heee hee. How are you? How’s life?
