Lies, Damn Lies, and Barack Obama

Gianna Jessen, a 31-year-old abortion survivor, put out an ad in conjunction with BornAliveTruth.org that criticises Barack Obama for vetoing (four times, no less) the Illinois Born Alive Infants Protection Act.  (Hat tip: Michelle Malkin.) As the ad is paid for by BornAliveTruth.org, and as Jessen does not call upon voters to support a particular candidate, but rather urges Obama to reconsider his position, it contains the following disclaimer:

BORNALIVETRUTH.ORG IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONTENTS OF THIS ADVERTISEMENT.  PAID FOR BY BORNALIVETRUTH.ORG. NOT AUTHORIZED BY ANY CANDIDATE OR CANDIDATE’S COMMITTEE.  WWW.BORNALIVETRUTH.ORG

Barack Obama, in response, put out an ad that called both John McCain and Jessen liars.  The text of his ad is:

I’m Barack Obama and I approve this message.  John McCain’s Attacks: “the sleaziest ads ever”, “truly vile.”  Now, votes taken out of context accusing Obama of letting infants die? It’s a despicable lie.  Even the bill’s Republican sponsor said it’s untrue. Obama’s always supported medical care to protect infants. McCain? He’s running on a platform to ban abortion, even in cases of rape and incest. Sleazy ads. Anti-choice.  That’s John McCain

As we already know, Obama does not address the issues, but rather attacks by proxy.  Worse yet, his attacks are unfounded accusations hurled against his detractors who bring up valid policy concerns.

First obvious problem: Miss Jessen and BornAliveTruth.org explicitly stated that they are not affiliated with the McCain campaign.  Obama’s ad, then, inappropriately smears Jessen with criticism aimed at McCain. This is not about abortion, rape, or incest; it’s not about John McCain; it is about holding Barack Obama accountable for his votes while in the Illinois Senate.

Second problem: that “despicable lie”?  Absolute, 100% truth.   Four times, Obama voted either “no” or “present” on the Illinois Induced Infant Liability Act.  This Act would have mandated that physicians give care to infants, whether or not they were the result of wanted pregnancies or attempted abortions.  Although Obama said he would have voted for a bill like the federal Born Alive Infants Protection Act, this, too, is a lie: the bills were virtually identical.

Here, Obama gives his reasons for vetoing the law.

Third problem: McCain is not running on an “anti-choice” platform.  In fact, he explicitly states that the question of abortion should be, like all medical issues, a state question.  McCain’s plan to end abortion involves changing our society to help pregnant women, not banning the procedure.  In fact, McCain wants the GOP abortion platform to be changed, allowing for abortions in the case of rape and incest.

Although Sarah Palin opposes abortion, even in cases of rape and incest, her role as Vice President will be limited to energy policy, advocacy for special-needs children, and government reform.  No mention of “banning all abortions” was made, and rightly so: the Constitution only allows the VP to be a tie-breaking vote in the Senate, and does not outline any other legislative or executive role.

So it’s clear that Obama’s ad is a series of lies and irrelevant attacks.

Jessen is not a politician.  She is a private citizen who has legitimate concerns about how a government official casts his votes.  At the very core of our rights to free speech are those of private citizens, speaking out against their government.  Obama, by slamming Jessen as a “liar” - with the obvious purpose of stifling discourse - sets a frightening precedent.  Are we to expect that any person who dares to challenge Obama will have her character dragged through the mud?

Not only has Barack Obama slammed his challengers, but he has done so with the highest level of dishonesty imaginable.  He has done so through others, and he has done so in a way as to shut down discourse, rather than answer the criticism.

For anyone who cares about the freedoms which enable us to live in a country where our government serves us, rather than a tyrant’s world, the prospect of an Obama presidency - and four more years of this - is frightening.    While Obama stated that he opposed the Fairness Doctrine, he does not seem too keen on a free-wheeling marketplace of ideas, either:

“That is why Sen. Obama supports media-ownership caps, network neutrality, public broadcasting, as well as increasing minority ownership of broadcasting and print outlets.”

Media ownership caps?  Network neutrality?  How on earth does a government enforce those things without pummeling our First Amendment rights in the process?  What do we expect out of a man whose every response to issue-based criticism is to attack?  After all, this is the same Barack Obama who attempted to use the Department of Justice to muzzle his critics.

    I posted on Sept. 7:

    http://malignantlibiocy.blogivists.com/2008/09/07/barack-backtracks-on-saddleback/

I have a link to the bill in the Illinois State Senate and some of the bastard’s own words from the floor of the senate… transcripts don’t lie, Barry!

Barack “Born Alive, Let Them Die” Obama’s own words:

“As I understand it, this puts the burden on the attending physician who has determined, since they were performing this procedure, that, in fact, this is a nonviable fetus; that if that fetus, or child - however way you want to describe it - is now outside the mother’s womb and the doctor continues to think that it’s nonviable but there’s, let’s say, movement or some indication that in fact, they’re not just coming out limp and dead, that, in fact, they would then have to call a second physician to monitor and check off and make sure that this is not a live child that could be saved. Is that correct?”

I must say that I wasn’t aware that John McCain viewed the children conceived during rape or incest to be criminals deserving the death penalty. Does he at least promote the idea of sentencing the rapist to death as well?

Isn’t the incest thing just a red herring the baby killing crowd tosses out there to make their case? If it was between consenting relatives, are they going to go to a butcher shop and say they committed incest and would now like to kill their baby? If it is not between consenting relatives, wouldn’t the term “rape” describe it?!?

Barack Obama claims to be a Christian, yet in cold lawyerly fashion, he calculates the value of an infant’s life like a store owner might deliberate whether it would be convenient and profitable to install a Slurpee machine.

Maybe Obama has never read the Bible:

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 18:10

Or maybe he just doesn’t give a rat’s ass. But if he thinks lofty speeches and pseudo-intellectual posturing will persuade God not to judge him for using his position of authority to aid and abet the murder of infants, he is as much of a fool as I fear he is.

  4. 4 Roxeanne de Luca

    Sam,

Re: rape and incest. The question isn’t whether or not McCain is right (morally) to encourage such an exception; the question is whether or not Obama was even remotely accurate in his portrayal of McCain’s position.

Considering that McCain is called a RINO for believing in and campaigning for just such an exception, it is totally unjustified for Obama to portray McCain’s position that way. There is nothing arguable about his description; McCain says, “I believe in A,” and Obama said, “McCain believes in not A.”

    Allison,

Oh, Obama answered that one (see the link for his explanations). Something about not wanting to inflict his religion on other people. Oddly, though, it was those crazy Christians who forced their anti-slavery religion on everyone else during the mid-nineteenth century that lead to the ending of one of the greatest denials of civil rights in American history - a level of oppression that he frequently cites as a qualification for the Presidency.

  5. 5 Allison

    Exactly.
That’s kind of my point: nothing in Christ’s teachings leave a Christian the option of the type of laissez-faire morality Obama espouses. Christ had a different idea in mind, and he never wavered from it: it’s called evangelism. The divinely aided persuasion of souls towards their own joy and salvation.

Of course, the Left cannot distinguish between persuasion and force, because force and suppression is the only manifestation of strength they know, and it is their sad substitute for love. The exact opposite of Christ.

I don’t think you’ll get much in the way of offers for the troll, but it doesn’t hurt to try.

I am confused about the troll’s assertion that Congress being forbidden to enact any laws establishing or restricting a religion, is somehow connected to the act of putting a new born baby aside to die without attention. Can you explain this to me?

And just for the record, I corrected my typo. I actually think it would be nice to hear Palin admit to a mistake every now and then. I haven’t heard that happen once.

  11. 11 Foreignpolicyexperiencemyass

She stated on ABC News that Alaska produces “nearly 20 percent of the U.S. domestic supply of energy.” The accurate energy statistic, according to the federal government, is 3.5 percent. She subsequently amended her boast, claiming during a stump speech that Alaska produces “nearly 20 percent of the U.S. domestic supply of oil and gas.” Wrong again. The accurate oil and gas statistic, according to the feds, is 7.4 percent.

If there is one word I would choose to describe lefty trolls… it would be classy. ;)

Oh man, I am so traumatized now that someone knows my mom and I blog. And that I’m learning to cook. I mean wow. And hair dye, what a sin. Forget brutally murdering children in the womb, we need to fight the good fight against changing the color of your hair. Priorities, people!

??? Seriously ??? You “people” (and I only use that word because I’m trying to lay off using the term “shitheads”) do everything you can to invade privacy, whether it is hacking into Sarah Palin’s email or stalking me online. It must just kill you that we’re bigger than that.

Get over yourselves. Instead of worrying your pretty little heads about how well I can make Mexican Shredded Pork or what color my mom’s hair happens to be this season, why don’t you take your own advice and focus on the issues? That’s what makes a troll, fyi, hypocritical liberal idiocy.

Yes, I made a tasteless joke about your mom’s hair. Not my fault she looks like Tammy Fae. And I know you can’t take a joke, tasteless or not.

Just thought I would point out that if you have a blog site, open to the public for comments, then perhaps you should quit b&^%$ing about someone leaving comments. This is not stalking honey. If you don’t want others to criticize your closemindedness then SHUT IT DOWN. If you and your creepy friends want to talk about God, abortion, baby killing, sex ed or lack thereof, why you are holier than thou, the list goes on and on and on and on…….maybe you should all exchange phone numbers or emails or create a site that is not open to the public so that you don’t have to face an opinion that is not your own. Until then, expect to see our smiling faces mocking you, spreading the word about you and your crazies and making comments every chance we get. Got it, good. And as for the splleenig I dnot hvae tmie to crae whteher or not you lkie it. mmmmmwwwwwaaaaa

  25. 25 Foreignpolicyexperiencemyass

Allison sweetheart, it is not stalking if you post personal information about yourself online and people see it and or respond to it. It is called the internet. We all wish we didn’t see it, especially the double chin. The husband is kinda cute, but I am sure when he opens his mouth (if anything like the wife and daughter) we could see him in the same light as his family. HIDEOUS. If you post stupid comments online, and then give your name, city, state, where your daughter is going to school and other personal information…people see it…amazing I know. Hard to believe how this whole internet thing works. They have classes you know and books….Ever heard of Internet for Dummies…They saw you guys coming.

I know how you love cut and paste…..

    Abortion is good

Editor explains why abortion is a good thing
    Joshua Stiffler

    Issue date: 10/18/02 Section: Opinion

People are either for it or against it, abortion. We have all seen abortion clinics being picketed by right wing Christians and other hardcore lifers. Others have gone as far as bombing abortion clinics and even murdering doctors who carry out the procedures. If they truly follow religion, wouldn’t they let God take care of these so-called “sinners”? Is an eye-for-an-eye in the Bible, I don’t remember seeing it.
Why do these people feel like they have to make decisions for everybody else? If they really wanted to do “good,” wouldn’t they just pray for the departing souls of these “unplanned mistakes”?
And we have all heard the gruesome stories about how the baby is vacuumed out limb-by-limb, some with their little heart still beating. Let’s think about it; if the baby is born to a mother who does not want it or can’t afford to give it the nourishment it needs, why make society pay for this child?
If the mother can’t afford the baby, and she collects welfare or any other government aid, that is you, me, and every taxpayer in America paying for her mistake. When all that is needed is a $200-$250 operation at a local clinic, or getting a bottle of RU-486 from their doctor. At least I don’t have to pay for it. And maybe while she is there she can pick up some condoms or get some education about how to not become pregnant in the future.
If the Christian lifers want to save the children so badly, let them pay or pray for these kids, because I sure as hell don’t want to.

    BEAUTIFUL

First of all, you charming creatures, this is our blog. Tieki and I blog here, and we can let anyone, some people, or no one at all comment. We make the rules, not you. Clear?

Now, as for energy: last year, Alaska produced 14% or 17%, depending on your source, of the oil that came from U.S. wells. While that is not exactly 20%, it is close enough. I guess you might have trouble with this if you didn’t know the difference between “foreign” and “domestic” oil supplies, much like you can’t tell your elbow from your ass.

FPEMA - I’m glad to know that your endorsement of abortion is due to the fact that you have no desire to pay for these children. Instead of ending welfare or cutting taxes (good Republican platforms, by the way), or donating to crisis pregnancy centres (another good conservative thing), you want to end the life of that child.

By your “logic,” we should slaughter everyone on welfare and gun down Mexicans (who are an enormous drain on the government coffers) at the border.

Somehow, though, instead of voting for fiscal conservatism, you, in a stunning display of cognitive dissonance, vote for Obama and death. Classy.

Tieki - they’re only complaining about your Mexican shredded pork and your mom’s hair because liberal women don’t care about cooking good meals or looking pretty for their men. Eventually, Ramen noodles and hairy legs get old. :D

Oh, never mind, I’m probably not nuanced enough to understand any explanation you could come up with, anyway.

For the rest, we need to clarify that we have a conflict in semantics. Let me see if I can help:

Yes the jack booted thugs from Obama are getting into our faces.

Why do you trolls come by and always take over comment threads with your asanine comments. You bring nothing to the debate but vile attacks and non sense. Go over to the Daily Kos and get your jollies over there. They will love your biased and idiotic tripe over there.

Obvious you never read the Constitution. The Separation of Church and State is said nowhere in the Constitution. The idea of Separation if Church and State is the idea of not having a State Church. Before the Constitution, every State had their own Church, and would prosecute people if they did not go to the State Sponsored Church. Read up on history, not the talking points from the Obama camp or the DNC

Do you have anything better to do than to take over a comment thread on a conservative blog. It is ok if you actually bring some kind of argument or your opinions. But yopu do not and only spout out idiocy.

Roxeanne this one is for you……

[As if cleaning up yippy-dog pee weren’t enough, now you’ve done gone and word-vomited all over the carpet. RdL]

Today in Woman Hating: Pro-lifers love Rapists edition!

Today’s woman-hating quote comes from a guy named Steve, apparently, who writes for “Voices Carry,” another blog dedicated to protecting “life” up until the second said life is expelled from its mother’s womb. After that, it’s “good luck, suckas!”

    [Deleted to remove obsencity. RdL]

I begin with some background. A giant bag of dicks are planning on putting yet another abortion ban on South Dakota’s November ballot, and it looks like they’re going to be successful. They’ve wised up this time, though, and decided to include a rape/incest/life of the mother exception.

[There was always a life of the mother exception, you paramecium. RdL]

They’ve apparently realized that advocating for a complete and total ban on abortion, even for rape victims and women whose pregnancies are going to kill them, kind of makes them look like woman-hating, science-evading, anti-life asshats (which they are, but whatever). It’s important to remember that these people DON’T actually care about rape victims or women with risky pregnancies or women in general, and that they’re “allowing” abortion in these difficult circumstances, not out of the goodness of their hearts, but to keep up appearances that they are, in fact, pro-”life.” If you find your cold, feminist heart temporarily softening up for their bullshit exception and going “aw, that was nice of them,” well, don’t. They’re not nice people, and they hate you. The only reason these fuckfaces ever include a rape/incest/life of the mother exception is because that’s pretty much the only conceivable way to pass an abortion ban, seeing as the majority of the public is pretty appalled at the notion of forcing a woman to die in pregnancy (especially when the fetus usually dies as well) or to birth her rapist’s baby. In other words, the antis will take what they can get.

[Maybe you should channel your psychic powers towards predicting the stock market, rather than guessing why people may not want to stop others from slaughtering babies.

Oh, wait, I already kicked your sorry ass on the abortion subject a few threads ago. Remember all that science about foetal development? Remember someone bringing the facts and the stats that provide support for a pro-life position? Didn’t you learn the first time that the pro-science, pro-logic position is pro-life? RdL]

The article I linked above included a quote from Sarah Stoesz, president and chief executive of Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, who highlighted one of the hundreds of glaring problems with the ballot initiative:

[THERE’S an unbiased source for you! The CEO of Planned Parenthood, whose very salary and livelihood depends, in part, on the billion-dollar a year abortion industry. Totally unbiased! No, she’s not trying to line her pockets or anything…. RdL]

A woman would have to report rape or incest to police before seeking an abortion to qualify for that exception. “A woman who is the victim of incest and is 13, being raped by her father, is highly unlikely to report that.”

[You child-hating moron. 13-year-olds can’t consent to sex, and, therefore, when pregnant, got that way by rape. By the way, why don’t you want to require abortion clinics to help out little kids who were raped? Shouldn’t PP be helping these girls to work their way through the justice system so they don’t have to get an abortion - usually one that is coerced by the person who wants to hide is wrongdoing - then go home and get raped all over again? Oh, wait, that’s actually humane, which is why the anti-life people are against it. RdL]

Right now would be a really appropriate time to launch into a gazillion-word diatribe

    [Irony alert! Irony alert! RdL]

about the way the justice system, media, government, and society in general treats rape victims, why her statement is COMPLETELY FUCKING ACCURATE, and how requiring a victim of sexual assault to unwillingly report her attack (and likely be harassed and not believed or trusted by law enforcement) in order to obtain STANDARD, LEGAL, CONSTITUTIONALLY PROTECTED MEDICAL CARE

[Pray tell, where does the Constitution say that a woman has the right to kill her child? RdL]

is really re-victimizing her, like, a million times over, but I don’t have 5 years of free time to write it. I’ll just let you know that 60% of rapes go unreported, and that there is only a 50.8% chance of an arrest after a rape is reported, and leave it at that. I’m not even mentioning the pathetic rates of conviction and jail time, which are mad depressing.

[Let me get this straight. Since most rapes go unreported, we should… not put procedures in place that would encourage women to report rapes. Brilliant! Didn’t know why I didn’t think of that myself. Maybe if more women reported rape, they would be more credible, especially considering that rapists repeat their actions.

Let’s not forget that rapists LOVE themselves some abortion. If a woman can “just get rid of it,” there is no evidence of his crime. No nasty child support payments. He can just use a woman, toss her aside, and, when she gets pregnant, tell her to destroy that being with a beating heart that resides inside of her. Classy. RdL]

So now onto the dickery. Steve over at Voices Carry (the shitty blog, not the ‘Till Tuesday song) created a post about this article and the above-mentioned quote, and titled it…wait, hang on. Wait a minute…breathe…breathe…breathe…

Planned Parenthood’s Sarah Stoesz would send a 13 yr old South Dakota girl raped by her father back for more abuse

    [Damn straight! RdL]

    BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Holy shit, that’s fucking rich. Seriously, that’s actually the title of the post and this is actually what he says:

“A woman who is the victim of incest and is 13, being raped by her father, is highly unlikely to report [it.]“

Ms. Stoesz is stating that Planned Parenthood believes sex crimes of this nature should be covered up, the evidence destroyed and that this desperate 13 year old girl should be sent back home to be abused again and again by her despicable father.

    Wait…what?

[Great minds think alike. It’s true - the pro-aborts love to cover up rapes. Didn’t you know that PP will not even report anything when 12-year-old girls come in asking for abortions? RdL]

I’m beginning to believe the antis’ strategy is to just say the most batshit crazy, completely insane, absolutely unbelievable swill that anybody could conceivably create so that us reasonable folks are left tearing our hair out, shaking our heads, and going “HOW THE HELL CAN I EVEN BEGIN TO RESPOND TO HOW STUPID THAT IS!” while they walk away with the cash & prizes and control over our uteri. Because seriously, how the hell can I even begin to respond to how stupid that is? Stoesz pointing out the inherent problems with a rape exception in an abortion ban and how society handles rape, as well as the basic realities about rape victims, their treatment, and the (un)likelihood of reporting assaults is equivalent to “sending a 13 year-old girl raped by her father back for more abuse” and believing that “sex crimes should be covered up and the evidence destroyed”?! Wha…..how….how….HOW DID YOU EVEN FUCKING GET THERE?!

[Well, let me spell it out for you. Stoesz believes that 13-year-old girls who are raped by their fathers have exactly one right: to get their uteruses suctioned out. Some of us pro-life, anti-rape types think that she has an additional right: that of protection from her rapist stepdaddy. By mandating reporting, we ensure that 13-year-old girls are not sent back home to be raped again. It also ensures that crazy incestuous rapists don’t just send their pregnant daughters and stepdaughters to the abortion clinic to cover up evidence of their crime. At least in some parts of America, a pregnant 13-year-old is a cause for concern, not a normal part of life. I can see how that might be confusing to you, though. RdL]

    *headdesk* *headdesk* headdesk*

And this isn’t even the quote that I’m intending to highlight! That was just a tasty morsel to remind you that antis are fucking ridiculous, lying, dishonest, untruthful, shady, lying liars. And they hate women. That’s all you need to know about them: they hate women and they are absolutely full of shit. If you haven’t already left to go jump in front of a bus because you cannot believe you share a planet with these people, read on. Here comes the best part:

[Ad hominem attack alert! Looks like Trollie McTrollerton can’t defend sending raped children back to their rapists, so he/she/it goes right back into bashing conservatives. Have you put forth one coherent argument in your entire trolling career? RdL]

I’m among the many who think rape babies are babies who ought not pay for their fathers crimes. So, I’d much prefer a total ban like we had in 2006. But my sense is God has a master plan in bringing these “exceptions” to the center stage in South Dakota these next seven months. Maybe he’s about to bring justice first. (emphasis mine)

[As Joyce McCauley-Brenner, a woman who was raped at the age of 19 and did not know whether the baby she carried within her was her rapist’s or her boyfriend’s, said, “I may not have known who his daddy was, but I know who his mother is.” What we consistently fail to tell women is that the child they are carrying is their baby. Much like we hope that parents who divorce don’t take it out on their kids - who, genetically, are half of the former spouse - we hope that women who are raped have the strength to understand that they are mothers. We tell women to “just get rid of it,” as if the baby was never theirs, anyway. Sick. RdL]

Before I get into the heavy stuff, can I just say how much I love it when fundies refer to one of their shitty, woman-hating initiatives being struck down as “God’s master plan”? If Comedy Central ever goes off the air, I’ll just be watching TBN instead.

So fetuses shouldn’t “pay” for their fathers’ crimes, but women (you know, the actual PEOPLE who bear almost the entire brunt of these brutalities) should? It’s appropriate to rip away what little personal sovereignty and bodily control someone who has been sexually assaulted has left? Victims of sexual assault should be FORCED to put their bodies and health on the line for 9 months, cover all the medical expenses, live with the knowledge that what’s growing inside of them and drastically altering their lives is the direct result of the most vicious hate crime possible, and face the decision to either raise the rapist’s baby or give it up for adoption? Are you fucking serious? Do you not see how forcing a rape victim to carry out an unwanted pregnancy is FUCKING RAPING HER TWICE?

[Why not talk to women who have been there, instead of telling them how they should feel? 80% of women who are raped and subsequently abort regret that decision. Women who choose to keep the child, even with huge misgivings, say that it is the one thing that kept them from killing themselves - the knowledge that they needed to stay alive for this child. When their babies are born, they don’t think about being “raped twice;” rather, they know that something good and decent and beautiful came out of the most horrific crime imaginable. Perhaps that is because children are good things, not plagues upon the earth. Again, that might be a tough concept for you to understand, you life-hating turd. RdL]

In fact, in true pro-life spirit, I’m going to spin things and go so far as to say that pro-lifers actually really, really love rapists!

[They why the bloody hell do we want to see them prosecuted? RdL]

It’s not even that much of a stretch. Both repress and dominate women, both believe women don’t deserve or have the capacity to make sexual decisions free of male control, and both cultures deliciously feed into each other. Pro-lifers, after all, are no strangers to blaming the victims of rape and creating and promoting a cultural climate in which men are inherently sexual predators incapable of controlling their own behavior and women are feeble-minded, emotional idiots whose virtue relies entirely on their ability to prevent/avoid sexual contact and toe the patriarchal line. And rapists, as we all know, are quite fond of justifying their crimes based on these constructs. Oh, and they get their jollies from controlling women. Sound familiar?

[ROFLMAO. Given that the Reagan Administration was the one that really moved forward with women’s rights - from classifying domestic violence and marital rape as crimes, to getting victim’s rights (as opposed to rights for the perp) - your argument is a stretch.

Need I remind you that the four people on the Supreme Court who think that a state can execute a rapist are: Antonin Scalia, John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, and Samuel Alito, JJ. They are also arch-conservatives. Don’t forget, it’s the liberals who think that rape isn’t really that bad. RdL]

I mean, think about it: What is so thrilling for rapists is the fact that their victims will undoubtedly be haunted and personally affected, every second of every day, by the memory of the assault for the duration of their lives. What better way to further victimize a rape victim, what better way to ensure that she never, EVER, forgets the trauma she’s endured, what better way to snatch even more control away from her, than to FORCE HER TO CARRY HER RAPIST’S BABY TO TERM? I honestly can’t think of anything that would make a rapist happier - being tied to his victim for nine more months, or, better yet, a lifetime. You heard it here first, folks: Pro-lifers + rapists = love forever.

[You’re a delusional whack job who needs serious medication. Logic is not your strong suit, Trollie McTrollerton. RdL]

First of all, FPEMA, don’t post from the same IP under different names. Shall I call you “Nickie” or your ChiTrib Topix name, “NickieCalgary”? Or do you prefer the other names you’ve posted under, “Robert” and “Elizabeth”?

Enquiring minds want to know. They also want to know why you have so few internet friends that you need imaginary ones.

Second of all, Nickie’sForeignAss, there is no Blog Bill of Rights. As much as you - like that Chicago-trained thug, Barack Obama - would love to shut down conservative opposition, that is not going to be reality. See, blogs come with nifty little functions that allow us to moderate and delete troll messes, while keeping comments open for those who enjoy engaging in respectful debate.

So what are you going to do about it? Cry that your little free speech rights are being infringed by the Government of Tieki, Tammi, and Roxeanne? Awwww! Twollie needs a twissue!

  52. 52 Foreignpolicyexperiencemyass

I understand there is no bill of rights so stop bitching that I am making comments on your site. You are making yourself look like an idiot if all you do is bitch and then do nothing about it. I don’t believe I said anything about free speech rights being infringed upon. Those, my dear were your words.

[Actually, they were the words from your fellow troll, Bubba. RdL]

hahahaha I can post under whatever name I like. If it takes up more of your time looking the info up, I just might.

    [Classy. RdL]

  53. 53 Stix

    Ass
You really need to get better at the thuggery Obama wants you to do. At least go to a proxy server and get a different IP address when using different names. Didn’t the Obama talking points talk about that????

Is this troll even from the US????? “NickieCalgary”?
I would just ban the IP address and not let little troll ro comment.

  54. 54 Roxeanne de Luca

    Oh, by the way:

HUGS AND KISSES AND THANK YOU TO THE CAVALRY!

  57. 57 Foreignpolicyexperiencemyass

    Roxy,

Just thought I would point out that I don’t give a rats A%# about abortion…I only posted that to get your goat..which I did. And waste your time, which I did. And perhaps keep you from doing something crazy like harrassing women who want to get an abortion. Worked like a charm.

  58. 58 Roxeanne de Luca

    Keep it classy, FPEMA.

  59. 59 Stix

Yes ass you are such a great person for anomymously harassing someone online. Damn we didn’t get to blow up the abortion clinic because we were dealing with an asshole like you. Man are membership to the Rovian brigade is going to be taken away.

PLease ass, just go back to the cave you live in and sit in the corner

  60. 60 PALIN/MCCAIN 08 and PALIN 012

It’s true that Sarah Palin does have the most executive experience
of all the candidates in this election. This experience includes
“spreading the wealth” (see: Alaska’s Windfall Profits Tax),
“abuse of power” (see: Troopergate), “questionable expenditures”
(see: Family travel expenses, hair and wardrobe costs).

But let us not get caught up in the here and now.
Let us journey through the past darkly:

From Lil’ Sarah Palin’s 4th Grade portfolio:

    DEMOCRATS = DEMOCRACY
As in “the democratically elected government of…”

    REPUBLICANS = REPUBLIC
As in The People’s Republic of China
    The People’s Republic of Cuba

I hope to grow up to: Live in a FREE Alaska and marry Joe Vogel,
the leader of the Alaskan Independence Party.

  61. 61 Roxeanne de Luca

Look, Troll, you need a clue. Sit down, because you’re about to go to school.

First of all, Alaskans own the oil that is in their state. They lease the rights to develop the oil fields to the oil companies in question. This is radically different from how oil fields in the lower 48 operate; it’s not like Texans own the oil that Texaco dregs up. In Alaska, the citizens own that oil.

This means that any “windfall tax” levied on the oil companies is a) misnamed and b) totally appropriate. If you sell your junked car to a scrap yard, and the price of metal goes up, it is not a “windfall tax” to sell your car for more money. That is exactly what happened in Alaska. The only reason that the previous Governors had not sought to make oil companies pay more money when the commodity they were selling fetched more on a free and open market was because of rampant corruption.

Now, it looks like you are suggesting that states should not be allowed to sell their natural resources for a fair price, and should be constrained to sell them for the lowest possible price and let corporations profit. That’s an interesting position, but it’s not one that fiscal conservatives take.

Now, the next part of your schooling will involve a civics lesson. We do not live in a democracy. We live in a REPUBLIC. China may call itself whatever it wants, but it no more reflects our government than your screen name makes you a Palin supporter.

Second part: the Republican party grew out of the downfall of the Whigs; the latter advocated for slavery, while the Republicans lead the abolitionist movement. The Democrats were the party that fought and died for the right to enslave others human.

Now, if you learn those lessons, we can allow you out into the world unaccompanied by an adult.

  62. 62 Roxeanne de Luca

Oh, let me address the “abuse of power.” You are apparently too freaking dumb to read the report in question, which said, on page 9, that she acted “lawfully and properly.” Babe, acting “lawfully and properly” is not an abuse of power.

It’s not TrooperGate, it’s TaserGate: the trooper in question stuck a Taser into his stepson. Pray tell, since when did liberals like the idea of child-abusing cops staying on the force?

As for the “questionable expenditures:” Alaskan law permits a per diem allowance when the governor is at her own house, but not when she is living in Juneau at the Governor’s mansion. So she’s forced to take the per diem when she’s living at home - which is still cheaper than having the state fly her to and from Juneau all the time - to make up for the times when she can’t take it while traveling. She actually worked it all so that she could minimise expenses to the taxpayers. She worked out of an Anchorage office most of the time, traveled to Juneau only when necessary, and brought her family with her (as she is allowed to do, since the state recognises the obvious fact that governors have families).

Get a new set of talking points, Troll.
