I don't think Coulter has said anything comparably as disgusting as Maher. The reference of talking with baseball bats was simply a figure of speech -- such as it's the only way to get it through their thick skulls. Not to mention, liberals should be able to hold their own against Coulter (key word should), but to bring up the disability of a handicapped child, and infant child at that ... well, a baseball bat is too good for such scum.

Teresa,

Agreed that it's disgusting, no matter which side it comes from. I think there's nothing wrong with challenging your faculty and administration - that is what academia should be about - but terrorism, from either side, is just wrong.

I've been getting a few hits to my old blog, too. Thanks for passing that along.

*shrug* the right loves it when Ann Coulter suggests that students should terrorize their professors and talk to liberals with a baseball bat."

Six of one half-a-dozen of the other...only the media gives Ann Coulter a LOT more air -time tham they give Bill Maher.

BTW, Roxeanne, I thought you would be interested to know that I am getting some search hits on my blog for your old nom de plume.

Bill Maher is among the more disgusting of the failed actor/comedians that spew on behalf of the left. It is really too bad that anyone pays to listen to this mental and physical midget!

Bill Maher is one of the reasons I know Cornell's reputation is overrated. If a category five a-hole like him can graduate from here, it can't be all that great.

Roxeanne, I did consider filing a "Bias Report" form at the Office of the Dean of Students. After all, that is what all the liberal babies did my freshman year when the conservative paper published articles they didn't like. However, since the CUPB is actually a part of the Office of the Dean of Students, I'm not sure how effective that would be. ;) Convenient, isn't it?

Honestly, I'm glad Bill Maher came and I'm glad he showed his true colors... not that anyone on this campus will notice or care. But I like it when liberals spout off what they really think. Someday, someone will notice and call them out on it! Until then, I will just keep imagining that my student activity fee in its entirety goes to the pro-life group on campus. :)

Agree with Tammi.

If you're feeling motivated, Tieki, you can find the bylaws that relate to how Cornell can spend its student activities fees. Given the slam against both Sarah and Trig, and if they cannot use those fees for discriminatory purposes (race and disability), then I think you have a very valid complaint on your hands.

What the Left does NOT want to focus on is the reason why normal Americans are so ridiculously excited about her: she cleaned house on her own party, shaped up the state, and shows us that abortion is not necessary to high-powered career. No one seems to talk about her record in Alaska... just lies about her billing rape victims for their rape kits, or finding the 3 Alaskans who don't like her. Nothing about her approval ratings, her ability to work with a bipartisan legislature, or her balls.

I guess a good rule of thumb would be never to think the left can not sink any lower because you would always be wrong. Derangement is an understatement. Abhorrent would be getting warmer.
