From Lifenews.com, one of the most encouraging stories I’ve seen in a while:
After coming under fire last month for an anti-poverty campaign that funneled money to pro-abortion groups, the popular musical talent show American Idol has produced a new winner in Jordin Sparks who is a long-time pro-life advocate. Sparks has repeatedly participated in pro-life conferences as a volunteer and singer.
A little bit of sweet irony, isn’t it? Seriously, Jordin Sparks has a great opportunity here to draw more attention to the changing face of the pro-life movement. The pro-abortion crowd continuously perpetuates the idea that all pro-lifers are either 1) men or 2) women who are brainless, talentless slaves to their husbands.
It reminds me of when the angry feminist was screaming at us during Cemetery of the Innocents. I thinks she said something like, “You guys go to Cornell? I thought all the women here were intelligent. I guess I was wrong.” Ha, she definitely was wrong, but not because of me and my friends.
So, Sparks is young, talented, and passionately pro-life. I only hope that she uses her newfound fame as a platform to bring more attention to the horrors of abortion. I have no reason to think she won’t. ![]()
