EdWatch Nevada by Joe Enge
Joe Enge serves as an education analyst with NPRI, as chairman of EdWatch Nevada, and as a member of the Carson City School Board. Author of two world history textbooks, columnist for Liberty Watch Magazine, Joe was a high school teacher in Nevada from 1988 to 2006 and a Fulbright teacher to the former Soviet Union. He was named a Madison Fellow in 2005.

Empowerment Forum to Be Held at Gov. Mansion

Lisa Snell from The Reason Foundation will be speaking about Empowerment Thursday, March 29, 5:30 p.m. at the Nevada Room in the Governor’s Mansion in Carson City. Lisa is one of the leading national experts on Empowerment. Jodi Stephens from the Governor’s Office will open the forum. A short video by Dr. Michael Strembitsky, the founder of Empowerment, and “Stossel in the Classroom, 2007″ will also be shown.
The event is sponsored by the Carson City Parents for Quality Education and NPRI. Questions for the speakers and an impressive guest list will be taken. Ann Bednarski and Sheila Ward deserve all the credit for organizing this event.
