Be there or be square. The upcoming 2007 Conservative Leadership Conference (CLC), which will be held in Reno this October, promises to be THE conservative event of the year! CLC is open to the general public (even Democrats!) and I highly encourage all good conservatives to join us.
CLC is being co-hosted by my organization, Citizen Outreach, and Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform. GOPUSA is a media co-sponsor of this exciting event, the theme of which is “Conservatives and the New Media.” And we’ve already begun to line up a rather impressive list of speakers and panel discussions, including Rep. John Shadegg, who is serving as the conference’s Honorary Chairman.
Additional confirmed speakers include:
Former Georgia Congressman Bob Barr
Adrian Cronauer, POW/MIA expert and former Vietnam disc jockey for whom the movie “Good Morning, Vietnam!” was based. He is also a legal expert on, and will be speaking about, the Fairness Doctrine.
Affirmative action foe Jennifer Gratz of “Gratz v. Bollinger” Supreme Court fame, and director of last year’s successful Michigan Civil Rights Initiative banning the use of affirmative action in state and college hiring/admittance decisions.
Nationally recognized Orange County Register columnist Steve Greenhut
The nation’s leading organized labor watchdog Rick Berman
Mickey Barnett, member of the U.S. Postal Board of Governors, to speak on the future of the post office in the Age of the Internet
School choice advocate Israel Teitelbaum
Plus, a debate featuring Minuteman Project co-founder Chris Simcox and Richard Nadler of Americas Majority, a group which supports President Bush’s comprehensive immigration reform and guest worker proposal.
CLC will also feature a “straw poll” of presidential candidates which will be conducted by Jason Wright of PoliticalDerby.com and Chris Ingram of 411 Communications. Get details HERE
There will also be a full day’s worth of workshops for both traditional grassroots activists and cyber-activists. Get more information on these training programs HERE
Also including in the planned conference will be a Margarita Welcome Reception on Thursday evening, a Western BBQ on Friday evening and a star-studded awards banquet on Saturday night where the Barry Goldwater and Lyn Nofziger Awards will be presented.
And finally, there will be an Exhibit Hall featuring various political vendors and other conservative organization co-sponsors. You can get information on how to be an exhibitor or co-sponsor HERE and HERE
Additional confirmed speakers are being announced on an almost daily basis, so stay tuned, check the CLC blog regularly (or sign up to receive free email updates)…and register to be at the 2007 Conservative Leadership Conference TODAY!
