Food & Death Administration

Ronald Trowbridge and Steven Walker of the Abigail Alliance for Better Access to Developmental Drugs have a column in today’s Wall Street Journal (subscription required) which the paper summarizes thusly: “The government may have contributed to a million premature deaths by delaying 12 cancer drugs in recent years.”

And that doesn’t even count the numbers of people who have died or gotten severely ill due to killer spinach and peanut butter recently.

And yet Ted Kennedy wants to put this already overburdened bureaucracy in charge of regulating tobacco?

At the rate FDA is killing off people, maybe the FDA itself needs some regulating.
