Despite the tough economic times, Carson City officials still want a new, bigger library. Never mind the fact that there’s never a line to get into the current library, which often resembles a ghost town. Thanks to the Internet, more and more people, especially students, are able to access the information they want or need more quickly from the comfort and convenience of their home PC or laptop. This is a typical example of government not acknowledging the reality of our changing world and just continuing to “do things the way we always have.” No matter how much it costs taxpayers.
