RINO BITES THE DUST: Liberal Republican Rep. Wayne Gilchrest of Maryland was sent packing by GOP voters yesterday as state Sen. Andy Harris knocked him off in the hotly contested primary race for Gilchrest’s 1st congressional district seat. Adios, muchacho. Don’t let the door hit ya.

THE UNION LABEL

We’re all supposed to believe the teachers union is just an organization of concerned professionals and not a collective of classless labor agitators. Well, take a look at this picture of Pat Crowley, the Assistant Executive Director of the Rhode Island teachers union flipping people the bird at a recent protest. It’s a classic.

Oh, and The Union Label reports that Crowley is also the Chairman of the Lincoln County Democrat Party. Why are we not surprised?

    It reminded me of one of Reagan’s quotes:

    This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capital can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.

    Do we honestly believe that the party poo bahs in Washington know better who we should support than we ourselves do? I’m not talking about the general uneducated voter, I’m sure they might end up liking McCain. I’m talking about people like us, people that read political blogs and keep up with current events. It’s like the elephant in the room is freaking deaf; the elephant being the Republican party of course.

  2. BTW, what is Shadegg going to do, now? I think he should stayin Congress and bee a voice and a vote….2011 will be a Republican Congress! Hold on John, hold on!

  3. Sounds like John Shadegg should have been a presidential candidate instead of John McPain!

    I think there are a LOT of people who would have been better candidates than McPain will ever be, even if he wins.
