WHAT COULD GO WRONG?: “There’s talk in some Democratic circles of letting the states of Michigan and Florida revote. . . . They’re talking about a revote primary where people would mail in their ballots. That’s a great idea, combine the reliability of the people in Florida who count the ballots with the efficiency of the Post Office. What could go wrong there?” - Jay Leno

HATING WHITEY

“Contrary to Senator Barack Obama’s claim that he never heard his pastor Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. preach hatred of America, Obama was in the pews last July 22 when the minister blamed the ‘white arrogance’ of America’s Caucasian majority for the world’s suffering, especially the oppression of blacks.”

- Ron Kessler of NewsMax.com,

BLACK & WHITE

“When Obama last Tuesday won in Mississippi, where the numbers of blacks and whites in the Democratic primary were even, Obama won 92 percent of African-Americans and lost whites by three to one. . . . A week earlier, when Clinton kept her campaign alive with a decisive win in Ohio, exit polls gave her a three-to-two edge there among whites (nearly as high among men as women), while Obama was winning close to 90 percent of blacks.”

- Columnist Robert Novak

OWES EVERYTHING TO BILL

“Long known for speaking candidly, (Geraldine) Ferraro recently remarked that ‘if Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position.’ There’s a molecule of truth in this. . . . It’s equally obvious, by the way, that if Hillary was male–and not married to Bill Clinton–she wouldn’t be in her position. Hillary came to national prominence not through her own efforts but through the success of her husband. Virtually all her ‘experience’ prior to being elected Senator is in fact Bill Clinton’s experience. She wouldn’t even have been elected to the Senate without Bill.”

- Columnist Dinesh D’Souza

WHEN YOU’RE RIGHT, YOU’RE RIGHT

“It wasn’t the war in Iraq that caused [the GOP] to lose in 2006, it was the wasteful, pork-barrel spending. Ask any county Republican chairman in America. Ask any Republican operative in America.”

- John McCain, 3/13/08

STUPID, SELFISH REASONS

“Whether it’s a couple million for their district or $25 million for their husbands (hey, she’s not the Speaker for nothing!), Democrats are still up to their old earmark ways, despite a bold pledge in the 2006 election to end ‘runaway spending.’ Now I know politicians’ promises last about as long as a New Year’s resolution, but c’mon, this is the singular issue that upsets Joe Six-Pack more than any other, in my opinion. The majority of Americans don’t have money to waste, and they hate seeing their government throwing it down the drain for stupid, selfish reasons.”

- Columnist Armstrong Williams

TOMMY C ON TOMMY J ON EARMARKING

“Even though he firmly believed that the power of appropriating federal money belonged only to Congress and that it was necessary to have a clear delineation of authority between the executive and legislative branches of government, Thomas Jefferson also fervently argued against the use of federal funding for local projects.”

- Sen. Tom Coburn, Oklahoma Republican

BABY YOU CAN DRIVE MY CZAR

“(W)hen (CNN’s Anderson) Cooper asked (Family Research Council’s Tony) Perkins what steps McCain could take to win support from conservatives, Perkins said McCain could ‘announce a family czar in the White House to focus on strengthening America’s families.’ . . .

“Of course, Perkins’s idea isn’t for this Family Czar to tyrannize the countryside. He simply wants to bolster families. But, ask yourself, which is more likely to come from some powerful new office in Washington: tyranny or stronger families? And if you bet McCain would pick a swell person to be Family Czar, how would you like Hillary Clinton’s pick? Or Barack Obama’s?”

- Common Sense by Paul Jacob, 3/17/08

THE NEXT GENERATION

“It’s hard to believe my Kamikaze son is well over three years old. For the first two years of his life, I was pretty sure he thought his name was NO!’ But he has matured, and I am certain he now thinks his name is ‘GET THAT OUT OF YOUR MOUTH!’

“The other day after catching him dancing on top of the stove while playing with a revolver and trying to drink Ajax, I thought - after thinking ‘That’s my boy’ - maybe we can win our battle for liberty. We just need to breed faster than the leftists.

“So I reversed my policy to keep our health insurance rates lower at Independence and stopped secretly dropping birth control pills in the office drinking water. Better public policy through chemistry. Now there are kids running all over the place.”

- Jon Caldara of the Independence Institute in Colorado

BI-PARTISANSHIP’S ONE-WAY STREET

“(George W.) Bush, unlike any president in recent memory, genuinely made a determined effort to work with Democrats. Not only did they rebuff him, but they attacked him with a relentless viciousness from before day one.”

- Columnist David Limbaugh

  1. Thinking about Obama’s minister-and I’m not voting for a US Minister- I was wondering, what was the name of that crazy old white bastard that said 9-11 came upon America because America has been wrong? Big friend of Bush and the R Party, but I can’t remember, was it Falwell or Robertson (he ran for president as a republican in 1988 I think)? Funny how we forget things.

I’d like to see some clips of McCain’s minister, but I understand he’s not a church going man. But, boy, I’d love to hear some of that supporter of his, white racist John Hagee, going on about the Catholic Church beiing a whore. How come we have not seen that on the liberal televsion networks? Then there is that other fellow, but we never hear about him. Doesn’t seem fair.

I haven’t seen or heard Hillary’s minister either. How come? Is she ashamed of him/her? She should introduce her minister to America so we all can make a decision on her fitness to lead America based on her minister’s view of the world. Bet it’s creamy white.

  2. I blogged about Sen. Tom Coburn’s March 13 speech on the Senate floor in a post today. I think you’ll find it interesting.
