Former Nevada Democrat Party Chairwoman Jill Derby, the donkeys’ sacrificial lamb again this year against Republican incumbent Rep. Dean “Steamroller” Heller in Nevada’s 2nd congressional district, is in Washington, DC, this week with her bud, Democrat Rep. Shelley Berkley of Nevada’s 1st congressional district, trying to Hoover up some out-of-state PAC money while genuflecting at the six-inch stilettos of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her lieutenants over at the D-Triple-C (Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee).
I thought Derby was supposed to be independent - like me and Nevada?
By the way, does anyone remember the movie “Hocus Pocus” about the three Sanderson sisters/witches who came back to life at Halloween? For some reason that flick came to mind as I pondered this election cycle with Derby, Berkley and now Dina Titus all running for congressional seats in Nevada at the same time. I don’t know why, but for some reason I just can’t get the image of the three of them flying around the capitol dome on broomsticks cackling uncontrollably out of my mind.
It’s a nightmare, I tell ya. The Sanderson Sisters of Nevada. Brrrrrrrrr.
