Porter the Liberal Strikes Again

The recent farm bill was at least worthy of its name. It was certainly larded up with plenty of Grade A government pork. Among other things, the bill included money for “stress counseling” for farmers. Therefore, President Bush vetoed the bill.

Nevada Republican Rep. Dean Heller voted with the president to uphold his veto. Nevada Democrat Rep. Shelley Berkley voted with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to over-ride the president’s veto.

And Nevada “Republican” Rep. Jon Porter voted with Pelosi and the Democrats to over-ride the president’s fiscally-responsible and conservative veto. Tell me again how Dina Titus would be so much different from Jon Porter?

  1. At least she would be voting for this bill with a straight face!

So, how come Heller is a shoe-in with his 30,000 republican plurality, yet Porter may be hard to beat with a 25,000 republican voter deficit?

  2. Heller ain’t a “shoe in”. And it ain’t a 30K advantage anymore.
Heller is in BIG trouble in CD2.
It’s why Dean is throwing out Wedge Bills like that “English Only” piece of Crap, to scare “Hard Working Whites” with names like Zeke, and Chuck and Shaw.
Are you scared of those Scary Scary Mexicans yet? Sooon you will be.
New Heller Slogan: Vote For Heller. He is One of Us.
