Fox News has a story today about two young girls in Utah, 9 and 7, who were out protesting the high cost of gas. The reason: Four bucks per gallon gas forced mom to make some choices and set some spending priorities. Gas was a necessity; cable TV and the cartoon channels were a luxury. So mom cancelled the cable service. Isn’t it time government did the exact same thing? We just can’t afford everything we’ve been funding. It’s time to cancel some old programs and get rid of some of the government worker dead wood.
