Beliefs
Immigration
We support and encourage legal immigration. We believe that illegal immigration poses a real threat and is a serious problem that is not being effectively addressed. Our borders must be protected and secure and our laws must be enforced.
Social Security
The current Social Security system is destined for failure. We support Social Security reform allowing the individual to invest their money towards their own retirement.
Taxes
Taxes are necessary to fund programs and government entities that we all benefit from. We believe that taxes are too high because of wasteful spending and poorly managed government programs. We actively seek accountability on the part of the government and tax reform.
Defense/War on Terror
Terrorism is one of the largest threats that faces the world today. We support taking the war to those who seek to harm Americans and aggressively targeting terrorists as well as those who support them.
Judicial Activism
We strongly oppose any attempts to legislate from the bench. The judicial system should not be abused to circumvent the democratic procedures established by our founding fathers.
Education
We believe education is crucial to both the progress and permanence of our great nation. The education system is in a crisis and we support reforms that ensure accountability and parental choice in children’s education.
Economy
We are unabashed capitalists. We support free markets, entrepreneurship and small businesses.
2nd Amendment
We oppose any attempts to restrict the right of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. We support aggressively enforcing laws and punishing criminals rather than attempting to remove guns from the people’s possession.
Personal/Property Rights
We support an ownership society and strongly oppose any attempts to infringe upon personal liberties. We strongly disagree with the Supreme Court ruling Kelo v. New London allowing government to seize property under eminent domain for the “public use”.

NICPAC is not for everyone. There are going to be issues that we elect to NOT address. At this point we are focusing on what we can change and what is most important to Independent Conservatives. Our focus has always been to give a voice to those that are not being heard. If you are a single issue voter, or if your interests in a specific issue that we do not address trump those on issues that we do address, we encourage you to be active in organizations that represent your views.
The following are issues that we choose not to be involved in. This is not due to a lack of belief or conviction, but rather a pragmatic understanding of the social conditions. These are issues that are well represented by many organizations on all sides. We choose not to add our voice to that fray and instead focus our energies on issues we believe we can affect real change.

The Draft
At NICPAC we consider this a non-issue and a distraction to issues that need to be addressed. Our military is an all-volunteer service and there is no credible attempt to bring back the draft at this time. Until that situation changes we do not wish to waste time debating something that does not exist.
