Kerry Apology Watch, Day 5
November 4th, 2006 at 12:19 pm . by nukeAs I’m standing out on the patio getting the grill ready, and savoring State’s win over Bama, I hear the unmistakable harmony of an R&B band down at the Ice House covering Sly’s Hot Fun In the Summertime. Oh, man, they’re good.
Poopoopoopoopoo if I want to!
A passing freight train dominates the next song, but just as it passes I can make the thump of the bass line in King Floyd’s Groove Me Baby. Too bad I didn’t hear about this earlier, I wouldn’t mind a good throw down, but then, I would have missed the ball game, and missed getting to configure the new laptop that Mrs. Nuke (God, how I love that woman) got me for my 51st birthday, which officially rolls around at one minute past midnight, tonite. And the funny thing about it is that State always plays better when I’m not watching them. So, during crucial points in any ballgame that’s on TV, I’ll excuse myself to another room, because I don’t want to put the hoo-doo on them. None of that would be necessary if I hadn’t lost my lucky hat, you understand.
These things probably seem pretty tame, if not outright boring to a lot of people. People like John Kerry. A man who has so little respect for his fellow citizens that he remains unwilling to offer an unqualified apology for the offensive, inaccurate, and clueless remarks he made in California a few days ago. I was thinking that perhaps he really doesn’t know how to do it properly. Or maybe he just figures that we are not worthy of an apology. Or, he thinks that since he’s gotten a free ride on everything since Winter Soldier, that all he really has to do is to lay low for a few more days and everything will pass. But, just in case his life experience hasn’t yielded him an opportunity to get to overcome the self-deceptive power of ego in order to learn how it’s done properly, let me offer these words to the junior Senator from Massachusetts, from the benefit of my own vast experience at doing things which make me appear to be a complete jerk. Just ask Mrs. Nuke.
“I’m truly sorry. I looked at the video, and I’m appalled. I don’t know how I could have said that. Please forgive me. “
A couple of days ago, that’s all it would have taken for this to have passed on by.
But, even today, he remains aloof, unwilling, and nasty. The front page of his website has a newspaper article that defends him, and says that he is right. Well. Fine.
I’m going to keep pounding on this until he apologizes, or until y’all send me enough emails saying, “nuke, fuggum. Let’s move on.”

[…] It’s been a long and difficult campaign season, full of negativity, manipulation, and downright dishonesty on the part of the opposition party. The war in Iraq, despite unreported progress, and despite the fact that the President has often repeated that “difficult times lie ahead”, has become difficult to watch as our own casualties mount. As the violence and destruction, and the golden opportunity for independence and liberty is seemingly slipping through the fingers of the Iraqi people like so many grains of desert sand, even the intelligence and bravery of our military men and women have become fair political game. […]

I think that the people that are true believers for either party have probably already voted in early voting.

Interesting!
According to a just released ABC/WaPo generic poll, in thirteen days, the GOP has reduced the dhimmicrats lead from 14 points to 6 points. Now, what happened in this period of time, that could have possibly had an impact on voter decisions? Could it be a lying, traiterous, POS Senator with Both Feet In His Mouth Disease?
What did the polls say before the midterm elections of 94? Dhims by 5.
And of course, we all remember the tidal wave of 94.

I suppose I represent the minority view about speech and there are other people applauding that things like that are no longer said.

I had dimly remembered a girl band doing something very un-PC about Arabs in the past, went looking for it today. It is a sad commentary on how much free speech has been stifled in the past 30-odd years.
