Stupidity, cowardice, political expedience, and the democrat party
January 15th, 2007 at 8:32 am . by nukeMuch has been made of the poll numbers reflecting dissatisfaction with the Administration’s prosecution of the War against islamic fascism, with Democrats and MSM-types (is there really any difference) proudly proclaiming the latest weekly numbers as further evidence of America’s great mistake in Florida 2000.
My own opinion is often reflected in these numbers, and I have been upfront about voicing my disapproval with PC rules of engagement being imposed upon our military, and the Administration’s inability to put up a concerted effort to fight the PR battle for public opinion. Either the threats that face Western civilization are as serious as many on the political right say, or they are not. I believe that they are, and the case has been made on these pages, as well as on websites across the right side of the political blogosphere.
The behavior of the political left has been, and remains unforgivable. Laconic Blog expresses this in a way that I would like to, if I were able to turn a phrase the way this author does. Here is an excerpt:
And why have they done this? What proud motives have spurred them on? Honest intellectual differences? Grief over wiser, more effective paths not taken? No. Simply this: their own political advantage. The Left has concluded that the most important equation for them in this decade is the Kennedy-Durbin Inverse Result Formula: good for Bush=bad for Democrats/bad for Bush=good for Democrats. They have been so fixated on damaging Bush that they are willing to countenance a defeat for their own country.
The irony behind this disgraceful conduct is that these fools think that they can ride out an American defeat. In their delusion they think that America can face ignominious defeat in Iraq, Israel can be thrown to the wolves, Iran can become a nuclear power and their world will continue undisturbed. They will be allowed to get on with urbane reading of the New York Times Sunday Magazine unmolested, peaceful lattes and chai teas at Starbucks, and cocktail party fundraisers for Planned Parenthood while the French keep the peace and John Kerry subdues Al Queda with subpoenas and injunctions.
Pretty good, huh? Here is a link. Go read it all.

Hi guys,
You miss the most important part of democrat drive - removal of God from the government. If God did not endow our rights, then government can abridge them. And since there is no personal responsibility, nanny government will take care of you.
And why this need for government to make all the decisions - because the people are stupid - and the elite must rule them.
The ones who support this philosophy are either elitist intellectuals or self-professed morons, but I repeat myself.

Democrats are confident because they are for the most part Leftists. They see Leftist philosophy (and practice) in most of the Western world and see it surviving and thriving. They cannot wait to apply great Marxist standards in the US, and no liberals correctly states that their goal is power, power for themselves. They do not like America and they find most of the people stupid and laugh at them for having been conned into accepting the positions and lies fed to them by themselves and their media partners. It is so unfortunate that they are able to continue the lies.
If there were access to truth, there would be less ignorance to benefit the left. The media is almost insurmountable when the left wages a halfway decent appearing campaign. Too many people do not realize that giving them the myriad of benefits promised by the left must come from their own pockets or opportunities.

Oh how perfectly Amil Imani’s new post fits this thread.
Insanity and the Mistake Trap.
Containing and defusing the present crises of the larger Middle East requires the united efforts of Americans and other free people. Regrettably, even the American house is badly divided and may not be able to deal effectively with the threat it faces. Lincoln’s ominous warning, “A house divided against itself cannot stand,” comes to mind.

Having power is the most important thing to the left, nothing else matters. Of course, they say the same about the right.
So speaking only for myself, I am a conservative for four basic reasons:
1)Lower taxes-it’s my money, and I decide how it’s best used. Without money, the government can’t grow. Which takes me to number two.
2)Less government-build and maintain the roads, provide for the common defense and national security, insure the constitution, regulate commerce, and leave me the Hell alone.
3)More personal freedom-follows closely with less government.
4)Personal responsibility-if you dump a hot cup of coffee in your lap, scream in pain, and drive yourself to the hospital, while admonishing yourself for being a dumb-ass.
You can add your own, to the list, but those are what I find most important. Having people that covet power for all the utopian ideals they wish to pursue, because they control government, instead of limiting the power of government, as the constitution intended, is anathema to me, and I was a somewhat liberal democrat, for most of my life. They ran me off, with all of their causes that have nothing to do with our constitutional heritage, while actively trying to destroy rights guaranteed in the constitution, like personal gun ownership, and finding things in the constitution that don’t even exist, such as the ‘privacy’ right guaranteeing abortions, or the ’separation of church and state.’
Too think these same people view any threat in the world greater, than the threat to their control of our federal government, is not difficult more me to understand. For the most part, they view fighting as using words, not action, and are ill equipped to be in charge of a nation in a real shooting and dieing war, against a global threat that would murder or enslave any infidel.

New Democrat Motto: If at first you don’t succeed, run back home to momma and blame the government.
/Oh, wait, that’s always been their motto.

seriously, I can’t believe how many people think that because the WoT isnt a friggin cake walk that we should walk. im especially sick of hearing from people who thought it a good thing to hand over power to the dems in order to teach republicans a lesson. tearing down and rebuilding up a country doesnt happen overnight. it took what, 50+ years for the berlin wall to come down post germany era. ahh nuts.
